  • I'm the second owner; bought the car from the grown children of the 93 year old man who passed away. The 37000 miles are original. Everything on the car is original just the way I like it

Wow, that Grand Marquis is Identical to the one I had. My grandma gave it to me. She bought it brand new in 85. I got it in 93 I think and it had 6000 original miles. (yeah she only drove it to the store and back). You couldn't get any closer to eing new. It even had that original new car smell . Mine was white with the red inside. Just exactly the same as yours inside. Same features and all. Mine had the other wheels. The alloy instead of the wire covers. 1 of the best built cars ever!

I just bought one of these. It's not in as great condition, but now I must go out and see if all the bells and whistles still work!

Stunning! Like new, low milage & fully loaded. Depreciation is a bitch, so holding on to these boats despite the slightly lower mpg is very economical.
Had mine rustproofed and give it lots of TLC. Will last a lifetime, and having 4 cats it's just as clean as a new model.

What a cream puff! Beautiful car, one you need to hold on too. Most GM's of that area are seen trashed out.

Its not Lincoln's emblem, its Mercury cross - wreath emblem, it came in various styles, this is one of them.

when you start it let the oil warm up before you mat it otherwise you shorten the engine life //let the rings get oil

If you still have this Mercury, could you kindly replace the chime in this Grand Marquis with one from a mid 80's Mitsubishi Starion as that is an even better chime?

  • @DavidPearcey

Nice video and car. Nothing worse than that awkward silence and really annoying crackling plastic camera sound though.

  • @Jac2Mac

Did the 1985 Mercury Grand Marquis ever use a scary buzzer on some models or a chime only and could you kindly replace the chime in this Grand Marquis with a scary buzzer from a Chevy Impala?

How much was it? Ive seen some for sale for $3000 but it had like 100k+ which i think's a rip off I would 3k for that. Its rare to find those cars in good condition.
