The speed makes it feel a little too happy go lucky. Like if you didn't listen to the words you'd think this was about something happy not an appeal to get money to save kids.
Kevin Davis It was written that way as a symbol of hope to bring the children a better life. You bring up a good point. The transposed key makes it more apparent.
"Female" is so demeaning.. But besides, you'd be wrong if you think that women weren't serving in the vietnam war or were traumatized by it. Also it's like a cover.... it isn't that deep.
Oh, I was so looking forward to a female rendition of this beautiful and heartwrenching song... but being totally honest, it was painful to listen to. Too high, too fast, too screechy, and too English accented... such a terrible rendition overall.
@@shelbyshoulders7042 I personally feel that the song is respectful because of the people who put forth the effort, she does a great cover of it that helps show emotion.
Hi there 3 it’s the rendition, it’s sped up and and instead of a minor key which is what gives it emotion and a sense of sadness it’s a major key which makes it sound strangely cheery
What cause and what nature? Are you saying men were the only ones traumatized by the vietnam war? Because you'd be wrong. You'd also be wrong if you think that only men served in the vietnam war. Besides, it's a cover, so.... Chill out.
What an amazing cover!! I've never heard a female song lead on this but she is fantastic!! Well done all!!
And very heartfelt!!!
I'm crying my eyes out at this, how amazing!

upper register is underdeveloped, and not well-blended to lower.
this is upsetting
the choir were great but not sure this is a song that should be sung by a female

This is really disrespectful- to the cause/nature of the song, as well as to all the lives who actually were affected by this.
I’m not seeing what you are is it cause she is a woman or because it’s in a higher key?

@@theplatinumnarwhal9886 erm, the original is in a major key....
