Thank you for describing the surface texture! I have watched numerous videos about this paper and no one mentions it. I find that odd! This sounds like my kinda thing for sketchbooking.
The Hahnemühle Grey and CCappucin,are super smooth,ideal for pens. Markers work great too,however,the paper is only 120gr,so most markers probably bleed.
The best Kraft paper,is made by Canson. Its thin sketch paper,BUT any dry medium,even colored pencils,look so nice on it! Better than the Strathmore tan!

A3 is the next size up. A3 is twice the size of A4, A5 s half the size 😊
