- Finally! Let's take a quick tour of sketchbook twenty seven! I fix the glare problem a couple minutes in, don'y worry! I'm working on a new light set up and i just keep finding ways to improve it and its a bit of a slow process. but hopefully the growing pains will be worth it! Bear with me! Thanks!

YAY FINALLY. Rin, your sketchbook tours are always a huge source of inspiration for me, it’s especially exciting for me since i was there when u started it, SO it’s EXTRA fun to watch it and look for the spreads u filled off camera. Whenever I watch your videos, I see how much my younger self incorporated your art style into mine. Many of the techniques you used I had picked up on, which had helped me shape my style, back then I had tried just snatching your style (in which I did a not so good job at doing) then slowly added on to it; it ended up turning it into something that felt a lot more comfortable for me. I grew up on your videos, and you have helped me tremendously on my art journey. Thank you for doing what you do! You have helped so many artists and are still doing it, keep it up!❤
I am always inspired by her enthusiasm. I wish I was just as excited when I sketch. I definitely like watching her process and drawing along with her on her characters and designs. Can't wait for the new sketchbook!

For some reason you talking about how you felt like drawing had to be a plan hit hard. I have spent more time doing nothing and stressing about it than any other year and I'm really glad that even this person I look up to and love listening to and watching draw has these unmotivated times as well. Not necessarily unmotivated but you know what I mean. 😂 thank you

For the last few years whenever I have art block I come back to your channel and watch your sketchbook tours for inspo
I don't draw very much, but i love to color and I love watching your videos. My favorite videos of yours is the sketchbook tours and new sketchbook videos. I also watch you while I color all the time. I love watching your videos and they really just brighten up the day.
I use to watch your videos all the time, but I kinda got out of art which led me to stop watching your videos. I just came across this video and it reminded me of how I use to go back and watch all your videos, mainly yes sketchbook tours, because I just enjoyed them so much. I remember how I watched the video I’d you drawing on the cover on this sketchbook and thinking “I can’t wait till it’s finished so she can film another flip through.” Watching this video, seeing each page and remember “hey, I remembered when I watched that video!” Basically, I was just reminded of how much joy your videos brought to me, so I’m glad I decided to start watching them again.

I love watching these sketchbook tours because It sparks creative ideas for my sketchbook! the reason I love drawing is because I watched your videos and I felt in need to get a sketchbook, kneaded eraser, and pencils! I so feel planning to draw instead of just drawing in free time. You feel mentally exhausted and not motivated enough to draw and you just want to relax and watch a video instead.
I recently got a prompt book to get me more motivated to draw instead of saying i should be drawing when I don't want to be. I love these sketchbook tours with different spreads where there's just so many different things its inspirational
It is interesting how I find some of your others drawing amazing, but you dont seem to like them as much.

Sure I've watched (almost) every videos about these illustrations and sketches but it's so nice to get reminded of some older one's and just admire all these heads and other more recent drawings, it was still a really nice tour of your sketchbook.

It has totally been a hard year for doing things. I definitely agree that I've just wanted to rest (and cuddle cats, obvs) during my downtime. Glad I'm not the only one feeling this way. looking through your sketchbooks with you is always like entering this really fun and interesting world of creativity! ❤
The 100 heads challenge was really good to see you branch out of your comfort zone and draw different types of people and faces - like wrinkly old men and dudes with huge, crazy shaped facial hair. It really gave you a chance to show what amazing skills you have and what you are truly capable of. I'm all for the videos where you stay in your comfort zone and draw girls, outfits and animals but I would also not be mad if you did some more stuff like 100 heads.
I would really love to see you tackle something totally different, like realistic portraiture in graphite or charcoal (use the woodless pencil versions if your really struggle with sensory issues around supplies like those) and maybe even try to paint a selection of different things in the style of famous artists; for example you could do a landscape reference photo or real place near you but do it in the style of Constable or Monet. You could do a scene at a local park but try out pointilism. Or even an oil painting portrait in the style of the Mona Lisa? Try out surrealism in the style of Dalí?
When you try out new things you usually try to create them in your style, but you could swap it round and do stuff you're familiar with but in other people's styles? That would be really interesting to see!

Yeah, exhausted is the perfect word for the feeling of this year…
Because of this video I started sketching in my new sketch book after a long time of taking break from " art "😂 , you some how motivated me again to hold a pencil and start playing here and there , THANK YOU SO MUCH , and yeah you are GIFTED so keep it up♥️♥️♥️.
When I'm finished with a graphite or charcoal piece in a sketchbook I usually spray it with a fixer spray until it doesn't smudge against my finger. (Best results on graphite. Usually still need to slip a newspaper or something between the pages for charcoal). For graphite sometimes I also cover the page in mod-podge and/or watercolour, which also seal in the sketches to prevent smudging.

I love how you finish one before going to the next. i don't have that kind of discipline. I also can't draw on the "backside" either. One of my many quirks
