Of all the things to use as a rounding mold, what made you think of a razor-sharp bell knife?

It doesn't matter if it's not a bell knife, a round object with similar curvature is enough

I think I'll try to scrounge a wooden wheel the same diameter as a bell knife and then saw it in half.

@@sieunleather I took out a spare bell knife to take its measurements. Just handling the heavy bell knife for that simple purpose is scary. I can't imagine trying to maneuver for precision marking atop the bend. What do you do to cover the knife edge? It can't be just tape.
