Richard said he bought this around 40 years ago while working in the States while visiting a flea market.
I'd love to know the age of this Tavern pipe and be great for any input.

My dear M-I-L brought back a tavern pipe when she and my F-I-L visited Ireland in the late 1970's. I've not smoked mine either, I'd have to ask my neighbor put a light to it. 😳😉 Very nice of your friend to gift it to yas. Serene smokes, Gary

Jonathan hello. I have a few of those I purchased one at colonial Williamsburg Virginia. I use them during 18th century reenacting that I did for years here in the US. They smoke very cool and quite well but the bowl does get hot. They also turn a nice shade of brown when you smoke them. Great addition to your collection. Cheers Ron

Howdy Jonathan! That's a very pretty pipe! Wow, that tavern pipe is pretty nice too! They made them that long so that each person that smoked it could break the end off and pass it on to the next customer! Pretty awesome, eh? That'll be a an awesome addition for your collection!
