I'm running out of unique compliments!!! That dress is just gorgeous, giving me Zimmerman vibes! Another great tutorial and fabulous fashion ending! Enjoy your vacation!!!
I just finished making the dress, I used more layers to make it more of a Selkie inspired dress and it turned out great! The video was easy to follow! :)
really great explained, something i struggle with when it comes to following a diy is how they explain it duo to my autisme but this made complet sense, so many thanks to that!
This dress is the most gorgeous dress 🥰 you give selkie a run for their money... in fact this is way cuter and more flattering than any selkie dress I've seen! Well done you're so clever 👏 ✌💕
Your sew beautiful! Both inside and out! The dress just adds to it. You did an amazing job on the dress!! I don’t know if I could pull it off though, it might be too low cut for me personally to feel comfortable, but for hot weather this would be perfect! (I couldn’t resist the pun, I just had to…)
That's what I used to think and because of that I didn't sew for a long time. Then I had enough started sewing using others scraps and cheapest fabrics I can find so I don't have to fear about wasting fabric. now years later now i am a bridal designer. Don't let the fear get in the way of doing things you love. If you never fail you never learn.
Sewing that foam is so satisfying :) Too bad I can't wear such dresses, my soft tissue covered mammary glands would go flying everywhere. Very cute on you though
What would you have to keep in mind if you need to increase the cup? I made a mock up for the bodice and it fits almost perfectly. The underbust measurement fits as well but the cup it self is too small, my chest would not be fully covered. Can I just increase the length (vertically) or would i ha e to change other measurements as well?
Could you please explain on another video how you remove the drape from the dress form to the sewing machine without damages ? The drape even with a tonne of pins doesn’t always stays perfectly
I cannot believe this pattern is only $5 USD. That's unbelievable for the amount of detail. One question: can you explain more about the wire? Was it something you bought pre-made or did you shape it yourself?
Hi! Really nice video! Can you tell me (or someone else who knows) where I can get that cup foam? I'll defo need some but I can't find something that looks accurate...
I love the dress, and love the video! I bought the pattern and I had two questions. I have looked through the video and instructions several times, but I can't seem to find the answers, so I thought I'd ask here as well as on Etsy, just to make sure: 1. Should the interlining be made from the same fabric as the lining? 2. Should the interfacing that should be made according to the pattern be attached to the interlining and then the boning put on top of that, or should I do it in a different order? Thanks very much in advance!
@@brenduhh Hi! I haven't received an answer as far as I'm aware, however, I asked on the sewing subreddit and went with the answers people gave there. :) I did make the interlining from the same fabric as the lining. One issue I noticed is that even with interfacing, the combination of main fabric-interlining-interfacing is still a little weak and crumples a little, so maybe it's better to not use georgette for the interlining like I did (the dress did come out great though). Secondly, the layers for me were indeed from outside to inside main fabric, interlining, interfacing, boning (and then the lining, but that's explained in the video and the pattern). Good luck! :)
That looks supre cute on you! BTW, you have legs for days, girl. You broke down the sewing of this dress into good little bites that even a guy could follow :D Hope Greece was fun

I saw that it was 44 minutes and got really excited, because that means this tutorial will be really detailed 😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️❤️
The way it appears (how the fabric lays on the cup) on the cup looks just fantastic dear
Thank you!

🤤✨G O R G E O U S✨🤤
Thank you!
I love watching you sew cute dresses! Makes me want to make one for myself, but I know I'll just ruin the fabric 😭

The back 🔥🔥🔥🔥 plz tell me this pattern is in your Etsy pattern shop
I can’t believe how cheap you sell your patterns tbh 😮 it looks amazing....

Beautiful dress… love the fabric choices…
Could you please explain on another video how you remove the drape from the dress form to the sewing machine without damages ? The drape even with a tonne of pins doesn’t always stays perfectly
I only drew the shapes on and didn’t really cut the fabric, that’s why it was pretty easy to remove it from the dress form ☺️
I cannot believe this pattern is only $5 USD. That's unbelievable for the amount of detail. One question: can you explain more about the wire? Was it something you bought pre-made or did you shape it yourself?
Thank you! its just aluminum wire from the craft store. nothing special!
Hi! Really nice video! Can you tell me (or someone else who knows) where I can get that cup foam? I'll defo need some but I can't find something that looks accurate...
Was wanting to know the same thing
I think backstitching is also called "understitching"
I have a bigger bust (85D). Do you think this dress will provide enough support? The cups look rather small.

@@michro2911 thank you!! 😁
Hi! I am going to try to do this! Very good tutorial and beautifull dress. Where did you get the foam for the cups from? Thanks!
Really you are amazing 🤩 you
Awesome 👏
What tape is that? I have been looking for some! Also, the dress is very pretty!
Washi tape. You can sometimes find it in craft stores or online at Amazon/Walmart. For example: www.walmart.com/ip/314977090
Please consider making a video on how to grade corset patterns....i have a 116cm bust and i struggle with grading corset bodices. thank you!
How much smaller is the lining? Is it 5mm smaller all over? How do you know how to draft a lining smaller?

Didn't mention how much fabric did you use?
There Is no 48 measure in your pattern. Does It mean I can't use the pattern
🤩❤️👍👍👍
how much fabric would i need for the bodice alone? someone helppp
A meter each seems like plenty for the lining and shell
Half a meter i’d say!
Oh and with sleeve then 1m!
How did you do that Mannequin? Please answer
I made it myself! I have a video on it ☺️
how would you do this if you had a corset that tied instead of zipped?
I would say to just put grommets instead of the zipper, since it’s already tight, it probably will lace up nicely.
Hallo! Was sind Ihre Lieblings-Meterware-Läden? :)
I want to like your dress outfit
