@@RickandHeather really handy on the wife's car in the summer as it has no aircon! You would think a 2018 car would have aircon to cool the car down so it's handy.
Great job Ricky. Yes they do work well for having the window down while it's raining... But.... I had them on the Jaaaaaag and found I did get a lot extra wind noise at motorway speeds with the windows shut. You'll probably not experience that with the van as its a completely different vehicle. See ya soon buddykins.
Yeah they do in my experience make a bit more noise in a quiet car but a noisy diesel with rattling cupboards etc meh 👍 yes mate can’t wait to catch up 😊
I have just fitted a set to our van, they look cool. Hope they also stop the rain water running off the roof and into the van when I leave the pitch in the morning after a night of rain.
I always use Climair defectors (just twist) just cos I don't like the bloody clips Rick , but they are great for what you say , I have them on my cars I really like them when sleeping/camping in the vehicle 👍
@@RickandHeather Yes maybe don't put them in , because I did try that make first because of price , but them bloody clips scratched the glass I didn't get a good seal so wind noise was an issue and it was a nightmare to get the clips out , so it might be false economy to go for the Climair but I have never had an issue there just a perfect fit , flipping Germans for you 🙄
Bought another one, 1st one shattered whilst fitting. Now fitted, did not follow video, fitted top 1st then longer vertical section, much easier. Peugeot Boxer 2013.
Hi Rick have you got a link to the ones you bought please, eBay doesn’t like my index plate, same as yours 2021 Brownhills. Did you put the metal clips in after or not bother? Cheers Pete

Hi Rick, Thanks for the videos, I need to get cracking and get some of these jobs done :-) will these fit Fiat Ducato 2020 Diesel Van 140 Multijet 2,3 D ? cheers
Thanks for the video again Rick, did you fit the clips after, put these on the other day and they feel nice and tight was thinking of not bothering with the clips
Hi, I will be collecting my new Adria Twin Supreme SLB 640 in April 22. Do you know if the design of the window would have changed since you fitted your Heko's. I have looked online, but I can't see if Heko supply to fit the latest van. Stefan
The new R8 van has only engine and dashboard mods as far as I’m aware, certainly looking at them I see no major difference in the cab but obviously it’s your call.

Hi there. Having had these fitted for a while now, have you noticed or would you say they reduced any wind noise in the cab when driving with the windows up?
Wind noise is irrelevant as the cab/van isn’t exactly quiet but one thing I will say is they do restrict visibility a little on approach to a roundabout for example
I pre warmed mine on house radiator before trying to fit as I'd read that they can snap. Of course, mine snapped on the top corner... gutted. 😢 Don't think I'll get any more pocket money this month from SWMBO.
Beware of this guy's advice, he says "don't be scared they will give". Both of mine broke doing it like this because it's the wrong way. YOU DON'T put the side in first and bend the top to fit, you put the top in first and the long side hardly needs to be bent and they fit easily with no risk of breakage.
They go in a lot easier if you fit the shorter top section inside the seal first and then bend the longer vertical section.
Thanks for your prompt reply it has saved me ordering the wrong ones . Thanks again Ronnie
You’re welcome 👍
cheers mate! gave me the confidence to bend them a lot to get them in.
Yep it’s a bit unnerving but as you see they bend a lot!
Great so simple modification, had them on all my cars since about 2014.
Yeah I love them, great little mod.

Fitted them to our previous VW T6. We agree very useful. We didn’t use any clips. Our van was new too and they stuck on well.
Yeah I still haven’t put the clips in....
Hi could yo give me the part number I have purchased a CV40 and am awaiting delivery .Think they are a great idea .Regards Ronnie

To be fair the clips aren’t necessary to hold these in really 👍

Nice one again Rick they definitely look the part , ideal for the summer or just to give it that little bit extra eye candy 👍
Bling bling is good 😂
