Dear mr Asher, thank you. I lost my boy of 17 years and I was shattered to say the least. I told my wife I wanted to wait a while cause I was super sad . To her credit we got a puppy who a local breeder didn’t want him. He is now 12 months and a total lovable character he is gentle but playful. I didn’t think I could love a puppy again but In love again and watching you and your pack is teaching me to be a better puppy dad so thank you
I’m so glad you said that. It’s obvious he loves these animals, his children, so hard, so fully. (Love that he has kitties too). With the depth of that love comes the flip side of excruciating grief which he has shared just as openly. That takes a toll. You are absolutely right he has no real obligation to those who support him, just to take care of himself and his pack. .
To Archer House, Lee, I'm so glad to find your sanctuary and your beautiful pack. For the last month this has been amazing adventure to see you doing what you Love too do. I have a Staffordshire named Snoop, He is my amazing, compassion service job. Not just because he's my service dog, He's my best friend, my buddy. Pretty soon on October 2021, He will be celebrating his 17th birthday. I have been blessed to have him in my life and whatever happens I hope he's still with me for another journey. And I want to thank you. For living Stella's life, to the fullest. Happy trails with your buddies. 🌿🦋😊😇🐕🐾🐩🐶🐾🐾🐾🐶🦋🎉🎉🎉👑
Wonderful poignant conversation today. While you were losing Stella, I had lost Layla and had emergency cancer surgery. My recovery was partly due to Utubers just like you who helped me thru those long days and nights of rehab and over a month in bed. My grief found solace in watching other people’s dogs and adventures that took me out of my hospital bed mentally. Currently I am in remission and able to heal the hole in my heart watching you and other sites. Bright blessings to you and your community. 🐕🦺🤎🤎🦮
My eyes tear up when I hear you talk about Stella, it reminds me of the last day with my cat Sophie. I have a dog called Molly now and I dread the day I lose her.
Stella had the best family a dog could ever ask for🙏🏽 Keep on living your dream🥰 I am creating my own little animal sanctuary and would love to visit your sanctuary for more inspiration🙌🏽. May more human hearts open up to these beautiful creatures.
You are such a sweet man. I always wanted to have the space to take in lots of dogs or any animal for that matter. I saw you crying over Stella and I felt your pain. I had just lost my beautiful June Bug. What a horrible feeling of loss and guilt. I really enjoy your videos. Keep them coming. I will donate.
I’m so sorry about precious Stella!! 😢 I just pray that God gives you a long, healthy life! So you can continue to rescue precious, innocent doggies!! God bless!!! 🙏🏻

Yep - if it’s cold, there’s nothing better than curling up underneath a blanket with your dog. Believe me, I live in the Swiss alps and it gets really cold here during winter. Lucky my Vizslà dog loves to snuggle 🥰
We adopted 3 street dogs from Qatar and Doha. There are no shelters there and kids are paid to kill them on the streets. They want to be sooo good because they're afraid they'll be thrown away again. They know this is their home but even 5 years later they sometimes get fearful and I can see it on their faces. Our old Saluki mix was a legend and ruled her world and lived with gusto and was a lovable, obnoxious pain in the ass...so when she passed we got 3 more in her honor. Gooby was a LEGEND. This is her in my profile pic. Love to the Asher fam. ♥

Lee, you turned your passion into a mission and your pain into love. You inspired me to adopt my adored senior rescue dog here in Europe. He had heartworms and would have died in the shelter. What else can I say? You are a good person. Thank you.
Will your sanctuary be taking volunteers/employees? I have 10+ years experience in veterinary and rescue. Have done dozens of fosters. I too, like many others have struggled this past year. That’s such a wonderful thing to say and I know he’ll appreciate those words ❤️because I appreciate what you said my broken heart 💔 really needed to hear those powerful words ❤️thank you for them
I commend you for being so brave many times I’ve wanted to do this but Stella knew where you need it to be. Things happen for a reason and I think dogs sometimes know More than we do. Thank God for Stella
I had two rescues, both chihuahuas, one, Cookie, a senior rescue from a puppy mill was blind in one eye, two teeth and never house trained, but we got a routine that helped her limit her accidents. Her brother Choobie was showing her the way. Initially she would get car sick, which was difficult because I was used to traveling with my dog. She eventually got over it. Two years later I was gearing up to move from BC back to Ontario, a 7 day road trip. About a week before departure Cookie quit drinking and eating and was having bloody stools. The vet advised her kidneys were failing and she would likely not survive the trip. Such a hard decision, to let her go. Choobie and I were with her, she died surrounded by love and I was devastated. I scattered her ashes on the beach of the Pacific Ocean. She was a west coast dog. Losing her and leaving her behind almost broke me, so I know how a loss can change your focus.
Neither hawks OR owls can carry off more than their own weight. Large raptors such as Red-tailed Hawks and Great Horned Owls can weigh up to four pounds; thus niether of these birds could lift more than a four pound animal from the ground.
Yes, they could go for the neck and kill them immediately but then not be able to carry them away. You can't take the chance. We have told him already but he doesn't want to believe it. Hopefully the bigger dogs will protect the little dogs and act as a deterrent. Fingers crossed.
I had an owl outside my house nicely & I would never let my 4.2 & 4.4 lb boys out alone for fear of just that...I watched this owl swoop down on a squirrel & a snake...
Yes!!! Just because your little doggie is larger than the hawk does not mean that the hawk will not try to kill your dog and haul it away. The same thing goes for coyotes. They can kill your little one by breaking its neck and then not be able to haul it away. I do not enjoy watching these outdoor romps because I see unnecessary risks being taken with these fur babies. The dogs do not understand that they are prey outside.
I lost my mum and dad last year, within 3 days of each other, to covid. To say I was devastated and heartbroken is understatement. I think I would have given up myself if not for my senior rescue - she is my life, my love, my everything. Okay I'll not get as long with her as having taken a puppy but she is just plain wonderful. What you do is fantastic and shows what a good person you truly are!! Much love from Ireland 💚 and from miss molly
Just had to say goodbye to my Alakan Malamute and loving friend and constant companion. He lost 30 pounds in a month. It was difficult to tell because of their heavy coat. By the time we were aware he was ill, it was too late, he was in kidney failure. He had been a 90 pound dog who was down to 60 pounds. My heart is broken. I see and hear him everywhere. That is him in my photo. I love you Dakota.
@@denicesanders4586 My dear Denice I'm super sorry for your loss I know what you feel all your thought in your mind is him and the great love between you both, its the biggest hurt ever hon he's the best creacher ever amaizing soul and heart. Just love nothing but love. I cant even try to think I'll do the same no no.. I know that food makes all animals and humans sickness. Dry food is the worse choice we don't eat that how and why we give it to the ones we love also lots of meat is bad/protin for kidnies. The only good thing now that you're sure your lovely baby is in good hands, it's running playing with other dogs happy and I'm sure you will meat together again when that time comes but this time you'll both play together walk/run together forever it will be forever love you'll never saperate again it'll be just hugs and kisses. Please calm your heart with this feeling and thoughts. He didn't go so far he still can see you feel you and love you.💋❤ Also I think check up with vet from time to time is the best for our babies. So sorry!! It is never easy to say Good Bye, especially when they are broken in the INSIDE with a chronic illness but still look good on the OUTSIDE! I just said goodbye to my BLUE...the best cat ever to me!
I watch because you have such a big heart and it amazing to see how your ability to love changes scared shelter dogs into happy healthy dogs. You have a gift and remind us all in the power of love.
Lee you need to take care of yourself those beautiful animals that make up your life depend on you we are just the crowd looking in you don't have any obligation to us as the crowd will come and go. I am a 73 year old Gay man I have a wife and two adorable children and a super Labrador who I love more than my children....she needs me and I need her.....I must keep myself in good health for her..and you must do the same for all your dogs.......God Bless You and all your dogs.
So sorry for your loss of Stella , I feel your despair, but the sanctuary is amazing, for you the animals, Thank you for sharing your bus journey, I have so much respect for what you are doing, God Bless you 🙏❤️
Hey Lee...I was thinking...as you were talking about Stella...& how the sanctuary came about partly bc of her...maybe you could have a little shop of sorts on your grounds...that you could name after her...like a place to drop off donations...whether it be old blankets,towels,hay,feed...$$$...or a spot to learn about animals w books,videos...maybe a courtyard where ppl can buy sandwiches & eat outside while visiting...or a memorial garden w a path of stones,bricks...that visitors can paint on site (or bring their own) & plant on the garden paths...Stella's Place...in honor of her...anyways...love you loads...peace.
Love this idea plus the idea of a shelter. Lee will do well with Stella’s Place for donations or Stella’s Shop with Asher House shirts, masks, hats, and souvenirs. 😊
That happened to me a few years ago,in Oregon.I had finally left a toxic relationship , living in my Jeep with two Huskies. And our first night of freedom on the Oregon coast my shikota just died .Me and Yukon were so lost. And then covid hit and I lost Yukon too.The pain never goes away.I since adopted two more Huskies but I think of Yukon and shikota every day 🤦 I know life will get better but the spark of life left with them
I’m watching this with my 4 year old daughter because I thought she would like the dogs, I asked her what she thought and she says ‘that mans handsome’ oh my!!
I cry for each video in a great way - my heart opens. I love that you are a middle man for the dogs because I go to the pound I leave so sad and kind of scarred but I would definatly adopt from you or someone like you as they are now the dog they are going to be happy and alive again. Thank you - this is how many dogs will get the best homes.
Lee you are such an amazing person and ambassador for animals and how they should be adored by we humans. Don't feel pressured or stressed that you owe us quality content to watch. That comes so naturally for you...you could just sit in a field or on a beach and let your pack just run around and film that calling out the different dogs every so often. You give us SO MUCH with everything you do and what you give your animals at the sanctuary. Just be you my friend...that's all we want!!!
Well Lee, you brought good out of your pain, took a worldwide shutdown and turned it into something constructive and positive. When I look at you I see someone who can’t take, won’t take no for an answer. All you see is the mission, it’s an obsession. You blaze ahead, man the torpedoes. 🚀
You're so amazing. Thank you for saving all those animals. I wish there were more kind and compassionate people in this world. Best wishes to you always ❤️❤️❤️
Great bus, ohh Stella, just made me cry, being in the pitty adoption, rescue world for many years, 61 now, but pitties were the very, very best, most loving unconditional love. God's angels, Stella is back with God, she left wonderful memories. Much love,Lee, thank you, thank you. 💕💕🤗🐕🐾🙏🙏
I love how you are doing these videos. Lots of answers to questions I had. Know that all of us have ups & downs. Some of us have more downs than ups. This year I lost my two cats & 1 dog, all seniors. Have one dog left. You have inspired me to adopt older dogs. Right now the shelters where i live are very empty, (Utah County, UT) . I don't know if covid has helped people adopt or foster more. When i am ready, i will approach a rescue, maybe the one out of Colorado Springs that rescues puppy mill dogs. Keep up the good work, & when you start feeling down, go lay with the pigs.
Listening to you talk about Stella made me cry. We experienced a similar situation with our dog, Digger, whom we had for nearly 11 years. He was fine that Sunday morning when he got up. By 6pm that night, he was basically paralyzed-couldn't move. We took him to the emergency vet that night and felt encouraged he would be better in a few days. The next morning he was worse. Took him to our vet the next morning and had to make the difficult choice of letting him go. We felt like we couldn't breathe-literally! My husband I have cried SO much these past 4 mos. But, we did get another dog (Hank) 3 1/2 weeks later that we both absolutely love. He has helped heal our hearts, but we still miss Digger every single day. Losing him was harder than losing any human we have ever known. I wish dogs lived as long as humans! It's great what you're doing! Love the videos!
So grateful for everything you have done!!! Keep up the videos and great work.. Can you pease add a #DOGECOIN wallet in the description of your videos so the #Dogearmy can send and Dogenate you #Dogecoin We would love to help you Onelove
OMG, Lee, my Sweetiepea had her first seizure May 2020. it was horrible. It was followed by a few more horrible days, a lot of good ones, then one that was the worst. Losing our furbabies is the most difficult passage. Love & light & healing to you and Stella and all the dogs.
Tammie you mention part of my prayer to God when before and after my pets pass I ask God to put them in a place of Love Light and Happiness in Heaven I mention my pet by name they do have souls and Heaven is Real and God Loves us and Loves our pets too .😊🐶😊🐺😊🐶😊

He’ll always be a part of me and who I am. So hear Stella’s story broke me. You’re an amazing guy doing amazing things for amazing dogs.

So what exactly was wrong with Stella? I have a tri color pitty and last year he started having seizures, we ended up getting him on meds n it's been a lot better, sometimes he has break through seizures but not as intense. He is 10 years old. I'm gonna b so heartbroken when he leaves me. His name is Ruger, he was a rescue as well.. hes so smart and so loving...with ppl, kids, and other animals. Hello
Oh so sad about Stella she will be missed ):

@Aine o'connell so sorry for your loss and I hope you are healing. Glad you have your sweet rescue.
And remember that you are everything to your rescue. Sending you love 😊❤

This made me cry. Stella, CICI, ... ALL DOGS. I can't say that godbye. 💔🌈🐩🐾🐾🐕❤
@@denicesanders4586 he will be by your side...always.
He didn't go so far he still can see you feel you and love you.💋❤
Also I think check up with vet from time to time is the best for our babies. Have a calm nice and great life my dear Denice. He's by your side now.
My love to you. 🐾❤🐾❤

Stella and Cecelia passed away?
You are amazing
I love that you showed all the doggos napping happily on the bus❤🐶
So sorry for your loss of Stella , I feel your despair, but the sanctuary is amazing, for you the animals, Thank you for sharing your bus journey,
I have so much respect for what you are doing, God Bless you 🙏❤️
Dogs are the most loyal friend one would ever have. Do you have pup?
Thats because his loving attitude is very attractive to all! As a child handsome is as handsome DOES!Very intuitive child id say!
Well. She's not wrong. :-)
My prayer is that God bless and keep you always! Thank you for your life!
Wow. Lee you’re the most awesome, amazing guy! Thank you for all you do for these animals. Blessings and much Aloha from Oregon🐾🐾💜🐾🐾🙏💜🌎☮️🌎💜🙏🐾🐾
Oh my god ! I cried my eyes out over Stella and then Sammy ! Omg as if they were my dogs I still think of them often
Me too Maureen! Love those two alot.💗💗🙏
I rewatch over and over the iTunes videos. We all love you and the pups and your mission ♥️♥️
Thank you for everything you do and for bringing awareness to all the animals in need.
You are pretty awesome yourself. I've become so interested in Senior dogs.
You do make all of us hopeful. You are a special person
Awesome! So excited to hear that you are in a bigger space.
You have a wonderful sanctuary🐕🍀🐕🍀🐕❣️❣️❣️

You have never made me cry before...til now. Stella lived a wonderful life thanks to you.
Dear, sweet Stella.

I kno yor pain...I just lost my Princess Nitro..she was a firecracker, she had a seizure Fri afternoon and another at the vets office
We made the decision to let her cross over the Rainbow Bridge. She is free. She is 14 yrs old she and her brother were born in my bedroom. Lou her brother, yesterday jumped off the bed, laid on the floor and cried. He knew! 😢 ... It's been a rough time. I kno I have to go thru this 2 more times. It is horrible. We did or will get her pawprint and ashes. All the memories just overwhelm.😢😢😢😢

I remember the day I had to say goodbye to my dog. One of the hardest days of my life. That was 2 years ago and not a day goes by that I don’t miss or think of him.

Sry I jus went on this book typing spaz, seeing that clip of Stella made me think about losing my Rugi.
