Istanbul Airport iGA LOUNGE 🇹🇷 85 EURO FOR THIS Istanbul Airport Lounge - International Departures

- Last year we had a connection flight at Istanbul International Airport. As we had more than 3 hours between our connection flights we decided to spend the time at the iFA Lounge in the International Departures area of Istanbul Airport. Watch this video to get an idea of what this Airport Lounge is like and whether or not the iGA Lounge which is also a Pay-for-Access Lounge is worth the price of *85 Euros + VAT per Adult, 42.50 Euros + VAT per Child for 3 hours access. We have a LoungeKey Card through our bank card which means we have a certain number of free Airport Lounge Access Credits per year.
Prices are quoted on the iGA Pass website on 17-03-2024.

Idk but I LOVED this lounge when I went last time. What I did not love was how huge this airport is...Criminally huge....It will take you minutes, many minutes (MILES), to get to your gate. Plan way ahead. There is no train or even moving walkways. It will be a journey lol
I think I would only spend that much money if I had a very long stopover (4+ hours) since it looks rather comfortable and quiet. I'd also be disappointed by the food options. The only lounge I've ever experienced was an Emirates lounge in Dubai and that was incredible so my standards are set pretty high!
Nice to a video from the two of you again. A couple of weeks ago I was at Istanbul airport myself. The prices there were quite disappointing to me. At least as expensive as, for example, at Schiphol. By the way, I had a tasty meal at Saltbae. A delicious Hanburger with fries and an Efez draft beer for about 35 euros.

I completely agree regarding this lounge. We were there at breakfast time and the choice was very limited, and not great quality. No Pide for us either and the lounge was quite dirty with tables not being cleared quickly.
More importantly, hope Maro is doing well !

Loved the video and thanks for being honest as I like that , we had a lounge at London Gatwick before our flight to Dubai and it was embarrassing no food and what there was looked like someone had swept the floor and fed us that . Honestly I’d also seen it on UA-cam but it was a massive let down . Keep well and keep fighting maro x

Yes, honesty is the best policy and as you know we always voice our honest opinions in our videos :-D This is the poorest food we have experienced in a Lounge, hopefully it was just that day. We will give it another go next time we are at Istanbul Airport (which was supposed to be this June) to see if it is any better. Hope you are both well. Thanks for the video, I was just in the Istanbul airport for 6 hours and those lounges upstairs looked so inviting, also the food on the main floor of the airport was really overpriced. But considering its 85 euros for only 3 hours it really doesn't seem worth it.
Thanks for your review. What do you suggest to do when you're in that airport? Any other options like free open areas to charge your phone and relax? Btw, what camera are you using? Your video is very clear.
I would pay it if I had a layover of more than 3 hours. If you think about it, you could buy a premium econ ticket, pay the 85 Euros for the lounge and still be paying much less than those flying in business class and still have a comfortable flight and transit. I just have never minded spending money while traveling...it's why I work hard.
Does the lounge at least feel cosy with plenty of comfortable seating options? I will have a 6 hour transfer at this airport soon and I am thinking about using this lounge. In your opinion does the lounge experience overall justify the high cost of it (foodwise notwithstanding)?
Very nice airport,it is also one of our transfer option for our trip to Asia,also to be honest i would not pay that amounth money for that lounge
That airport is big enough that you can walk thru,see it,and of course eat good Turkish food for way less money
It is a nice airport and so was the Lounge, a big pity about the standard of the food. We would visit again one more time in the hope that we were just unlucky but... we would never ever pay 85 Euros for Lounge Access, that is way over priced by any standards (we have a LoungeKey). Glad to hear that you enjoy our channel. We were only making a Transfer through Istanbul Airport so we did not visit the city. Hope to visit Istanbul some time in the future :-D

I have been this lounge 2 weeks ago and It wasn’t even this clean and food selection wasn’t more than you had in this video. Veggies served in salad bar was really in poor condition (especially wine tomatoes, they were squished 🙁) There are two coffee machine and one of them was out of resources all the time, yes there were a lot of people but unless you call someone staff is not paying attention. Cleaning staff was working hard, and any time you ask something staff is helping immediately. So there are some issues like; 1. Food quality, 2. Under staffed (can’t handle customers with the number of staff available when there are more visitors than average) 3. The coffee machines they selected require constant attention for refill. Either increase the number of coffee machines or replace them with the suitable ones. I don’t think it worths for the price for the food wise.
Thanks for sharing your experience. Hopefully in the future they will try and do better. This lounge has the potential to be a winner, if they would just improve the food - it is after not a cheap price you pay for entry.
I have 19 hours of overnight flight transfer, which arrives at 23:30. Can I rest and sleep overnight instead of booking a hotel in the city?

This is Istanbul´s main airport (the new one).
The price for this lounge on the Chinese shopping platform Taobao is 4 hours/40 euros
That is an offer we can see from their website (seen 30-08-24)!👍🏻 There on this date they write, "For a limited time, IGA Domestic Lounge is only ₺900 instead of ₺1200". Take note that offer price is for the Domestic Lounge! As far as we can see the price for the International Lounge is still 85 Euros for adults😉

As a Turk from Sydney I wouldn’t spend that much on this place! The food looks ok but not worth it

On Turkish Airlines 1. There is no pork or lobster option among the treats, Singapore Airlines has it. 2.aircraft cabins are old, entertainment systems are old 3.Alcoholic beverage options are very limited

Thank you for an honest review, the food looks pretty awful. But that aside, with the free alcohol and showers maybe is worth the 85Eur? I fly each two months through Istanbul and spent 60Eur on a Hamburger and a couple of beers at restaurant outside the security entrance. Never occur to me this Lounge...I will try it nevertheless and let you guys know what I think (I arrive at 3AM so I dont hope much for the food).
You are welcome! :-D As we wrote in a reply to another of our viewers, it is a very nice lounge with lots of space and comfortable sitting areas! The only issue we had is that price of the lounge (well higher than other pay-for-access lounges we have visited) and the food. We will give it a try again next time we have a longer Transfer at Istanbul Airport and we really hope that the food will have improved! With better food it would be a very good lounge! Looking forward to hearing your opinion! Have a good trip! :-D

We will try it again next time and hopefully the standard of the food has improved... otherwise it will be the last time we visit. Apart from the food it is a nice lounge with potential!
