Yunho and Mingi have been friends since middle school and attended the same dance academy. Their entire friendship is so cute because they never attended the same schools and even in High School and Yunho used to always go to Mingi's high school and take him out for lunch. They've been friends for 9-10 years now and they even auditioned for KQ without the other knowing lol.
Another friendship before Ateez was also Wooyoung and Yeosang who met when they were 15 years old as trainees under bighit entertainment. That's why they're both very close to TXT. Yeosang left Bighit first because I think the TXT lineup was finalized in 2016 and he thought it was better to join another company to debut and Wooyoung followed him to KQ because he wanted to debut with Yeosang no matter what since the two of them had always dreamed of debuting together.
