    This is the most difficult video I've ever produced on this channel, & I hope you all love it! I'm working on a ton of higher quality documentary style videos & I have one video that I've worked on for close to a year that will be hopefully released in late April! Can't wait to share it with you!

    Finally, someone releases a much needed documented history on this park. I love this park, but it’s sad seeing how much potential it has going to waste.

    You should have mentioned that the Wild One was originally at Paragon park in Hull Massachusetts. My grandfather's cousin was killed on that coaster when he was 17 he was ejected from the ride and was killed on impact. I have a copy of the news article from the Boston Globe. Rmc Roar would be great that thing is so rough

    Krypton Comet was the greatest ride in Six Flags history, along with Zonga at Marine World, the Chiller and Viper at Great Adventure, the Demon at Great America, and Cyborg Hyper Drive at Six Flags New England. There is literally no footage of it online (hell, if you even search up "Six Flags America Krypton Comet" on YT, then you'll be steered to a video I made awhile ago asking for footage of it.) This park and Six Flags New England defo scream early '00s Six Flags. I'm glad to have created Yuuki Takemoto, since she went to every Six Flags park in the early to mid '00s!
    Also, Don Kennedy did the announcer spiel on Superman: Ride of Steel. For those of you who don't know Don Kennedy was Tansit on Space Ghost Coast to Coast.

    Mr Looping thrills,
    This is my home park (for better or worst). It's about a 40 minute drive for me.
    Operations are slow at times; employees seem like they're just going through the motions. One train operations most of the time .... but I'm hopeful. You've got King's Dominion 2 hours south, Hersheypark 2.5 hours north.

    I think After Primer bought the six flags parks they wanted to put their parks on the same tier as the Six Flags Parks they had acquired. Also they rides six flags was adding in the late 2000s this park had more primitive versions of. They already had a GCI, Primer, and Hyper. I wish they got a Gerslaur spinner or Euro Fighter though those would be good fits and Raging Cajun could have gone elsewhere.

      Only problem is that premiere parks kept buying more properties without having the financial means to cover them all.
      The company started out as teirco which was originally a real estate company. At first the park known originally as wild world had closed for business in 1990 as they couldn't compete with KD and BGW, teirco purchased the land not with the original intent of reopening the park but later changed their minds and started renovating the park which reopened in 1992. By 1994 the name was changed to adventure world and many new rides were added such as mind eraser in 1995 and roar in 1998. In the fall of 98 is when it was revealed that premiere parks had purchased six flags from time Warner and the rest is history.

    Six Flags America is my home park, and I can say without a doubt it has been... disappointing. It's also due to the crowd of people they've been attracting. I used to go every summer for a few years and it really has gotten more and more sad. Just this year they're announcing their Steampunk conversion of the Ol' Wilde West portion of the park, but really it's just a re-theming. I'm hoping they put work into improving "Mind Eraser" which is now going to be renamed, as that was the WORST one of the many rides. As someone who came here as a teenager, I'm looking forward to the water park again after a rather unsavory experience, but I'm hoping there are some improvements in some water rides as well.

    I'm coming to this park for a day soon and the comment sections got me nervous. I've already been to Six flags over Georgia when there was a shooting in the parking lot. My car also got damaged on our last day. I thought this park seemed charming. I'm officially worried by these comments.

      The shooting at SFOG didn’t happen inside the park and took place off property. As how tragic it seemed, they’ve added a lot of security by hiring security officers to patrol the park so nothing like that ever happens again.

      It's not the park itself that's the problem. It's the location. A strictly enforced chaperone policy and zero tolerance for disruptive behavior would help a bit. Though these policies, if enforced, may result in certain accusations.

  • @brybryguy6314

    I donno. My prediction for this park is, its going to be on the chopping block especially now with the merger. Six Flags America is stuck between two giants, Hersheypark and Kings Domain. Both parks are roughly an hour and half away from eachother and now with the merger, both parks will be competing with eachother under the same company. Six Flags America is the smaller, rundown and neglected park so even now putting in major investments into the park maybe useless. I get your point about Dorney Park finally getting a new ride but keep in mind, that was done way before the merger. This merger is going to have a major ripple effect across all Six Flags parks and Cedar Fair parks and personally in the next few years, we could see the smaller, unkept parks in both chains start closing up and selling off its assets.

    • @Loopingthrills
      @Loopingthrills  11 місяців тому +1

      A 2 park ticket helps both Six Flags America & Kings Dominion thrive & it'll benefit the chain a lot to have 2 nearby parks increasing attendance there with a 2 park ticket as opposed to other surrounding parks. Seaworld Orlando & Busch Gardens Tampa is the perfect example of this.

    • @ItsSiebay
      @ItsSiebay 9 місяців тому

      I genuinely wonder why people are so adamant about closing this park. The location is great. Sure, the merger does raise some questions about how it will be affected with Kings Dominion, but those parks are well over an hour away. Even if they do sell Six Flags, they don’t have to close the park. Maybe I’m biased, but I don’t personally want to have to drive that far just to ride some coasters.

      @@Loopingthrills This story is CRAP, you call the park Wild One like 20 times! the park is not "Known for it's violence" it's had trouble like any other park. they put the metal detectors in in a abundance of caution to keep guests safe. Almost evey park in the country now has metal detectors. You call Knoebels NO BELLS? Clearly you have no idea even how to pronounce park names properly! During the periods of "decline" you mention SFA had several years that outsold 1999 on season passes. The reason they haven't gotten new coasters is easy, the people that bought Six Flags built the park up way beyond what it needed to operate and for years it had more than enough coasters! your video is ridiculous, very little of it is even pertinent to the commentary. when talking about the Adventure World days you show six flags rides from the 2020's Finally, I wish it was, but Six Flags America was NEVER one of the Greatest Parks in in the Country. And right there in that one statement your entire video becomes a complete farce. You need a proof reader and some real backup facts that are true and not just rumors.
