    this helped me very much! I am a soon to be 12 year old and my dad recommended face painting since I am really good at art! I have never painted or drawn on somebody else's skin before so this definitely helped me!

      Your dad had a good idea. It is always nice to have a “side gig” and if you are good at drawing….this is a good one.

    Great beginners tips for stencils in general. Many initially use too much or too watery paint,and do the typical swipe back and forth motion of regular painting, and are disappointed when the paint bleeds around the stencil edges. Less paint and repeated “dabbing”, up-down motion can fix that.

    I just invested in some face painting supplies and I have just started practicing with a Fusion one-stroke kit in the past couple days.
    I have a lot of lining practice to do still, but when I tried lining OVER my one-stroke layer (after letting it dry) the one-stroke colors started bleeding and turning my brush muddy.
    Am I doing something wrong, or is it inevitable? Do I just need to clean/re-load my brush more often when going over one-strokes? 🤔

    • @JestPaint
      @JestPaint  4 роки тому +6

      Hi Som! It is best to just paint on clean skin. If you are really worried about staining because someone has experience that before you can put on a very light layer of lotion, and you can set with setting powder first if your client will be sweating a lot. :) Anna

    • @JestPaint

      I would love some kind of face rest for kids, like the one we put our face in on massage table. One of the best face painting experience I had was painting kids that were laying down on their backs on a beach chair...they were the only chairs they had, but bending over them was a killer on my back. But they were relaxed and held so still! We need a face paint chair with some kind of hore-shoe attachment that swings up on a pole between their legs and they set their face in it....and it would have to be a height adjustable pole. Hmmm hmm hmm!
