  • Video by W2Best Tech. Channel was hacked and name can't be changed back currently. This is a quick update on my Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Pro X testing some of the solutions you suggested in the comments of the last video. Unfortunately they didn't solve the problem and I'm ending up sending the laptop to repairs. It should take 2-3 weeks and we'll see if I can get it up and running again. Thanks for all the input on the issue!

Interesting to hear about someone else's unfortunate difficulties. You did the things I would have done, without any expectation that it would work! I hope it comes back restored to its former self! Let us know.

It's been fixed with a new motherboard and returning to me soon!

Had the same issue today with the Slim 7 Pro X (terrible timing, day before a presentation)! Was able to find a reddit thread describing the same problem; seems like it is a BIOS issue. Hoping to get a Lenovo technician appointment next week.

A bios issue, so you were able to solve it?

Sorry that you got hacked.Interestingly this was on top of my recommendations without being subbed.

It's good to be back though! If I get more recommended after the hack it was worth it ;)

I've had so many issues with Windows laptops recently so I tried using a MacBook. It's been a pleasant experience so far (even if MacOS isn't always my cup of tea). I may stick to a Mac laptop and a Windows desktop.

      That's what I'm doing currently.

Honestly sorry to hear and see this. Unfortunately by my humble experience only ThinkPad and Latitudes keep their quality control these days

It's hard! But it was also fixed by sending to repair and under warranty.

so sorry to know this...did you have a chance to clear all your personal data in the hard drive before sending it in for repair?

My Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 14ARE05 is acting up lately as well.. (not as bad as yours though!), mostly performance wise. I'm a dev and need quite some resources, extensive fan noise, throttling, hot... Any suggestions to stuff like that?
I even installed ubuntu on a separate partition, but even opening docker is crashing that one..

My Lenovo laptop fared the same way after about a year. It randomly freezes and hangs up as well as everything you mentioned. I think it's either Lenovo's crappy drivers or Bios updates.

@@ArthropodSpidey yep. I think it's also literally at the end of my warranty.
For now, I don't have a lot of trust anymore in lenovo, maybe even windows. Looking to buy an m2 now, or m1 refurbished

Mine had a fried motherboard... So pretty hard to work out by oneself.
