I'm 62yo and have had G-Shocks since they became available in the USA in the early 1980's. I still have a couple from the late 1980's and early 1990's but I wanted one that was the 'newest' but was closest to the original DW-5000C. So, after poking around online, I had found a G-Shock that I wanted 2 years ago, Christmas time, the GW-M5610U.....for half the regular online price of $US150ish and I thought BINGO!!! THERE IT IS!! It had all the stuff I wanted - solar and atomic time and all the rest. It would(have been) be the watch to last me the rest of my life.....or not. It was PERFECT....right up until the time I wanted to set the countdown timer(which I use a LOT at work and when cooking) and.....damn it all....the 'beep' was so soft I missed it when it went off....so I tried it again and the beep was so soft that it was lost in the background noise of a kitchen while cooking. The alarm function was the same. Too bloody quiet to be useful to me, and I really do have very good hearing, still, for my age and.....damn it all. The ALMOST perfect G-Shock. I ended up getting a W-S210H and its great....the 'BEEP' is plenty loud to hear.....BUT ITS NOT A DAMNED G-SHOCK. Sorry, had to rant on this one....i think this will end up being deleted, anyway.....but.....beware half price sales on things.....
My (former) local jewellers, Hillier, always had great deals and the people are really knowledgeable and helpful. Edit: Just spent 120 quid on a load of straps from Watch Gecko as my watch box is nearly full :-)
You'd think for the picture of that Seiko "Willard" they could find one without a misaligned bezel....apparently not 😅 I looked at that Citizen Sports Diver a few weeks ago in a local F. Hinds. Liked it very much but a bit chunky for me so picked up a blue dial eco-drive titanium diver from the shop instead (also half price) and its been getting plenty of wrist time.
That citizen is not a professional diver. Hinds do have great offers, managed to get a limited edition black Samurai a couple years ago for less than £250.
As always the most thoughtful , well researched & eloquent watch channel around , MAMACOO keep coming !
Highly recommend hillier jewellers
Fantastic shop in Middlesbrough town centre, and Adam the owner is wonderful, helpful and full of knowledge!
Thanks for including that Illuminator Casio, W-96H-1AVES, I was looking for a watch with a big digital display and that's fantastic value at £10.99.
I have a 55th Edition of the Willard. I wear it more than ANY OTHER WATCH in my collection. It’s really a great fit.

Great video Gary, mouth watering, but alas no good to us folks who live outside of the UK, you tempt us, you naughty person you!!! :)

You often get excellent special offers over in the UK. Some of the Seikos are offered at a great price.

I got the willard from this AD. They checked it before despatch for any QC issues and got one which was aligned so all good and great service.
So basically where they should be priced.

Probably couldn't find one.
Truth in advertising finally
Its like having a yellow light on the dash of your VW golf... if it's not there, you aren't getting the full experience
@Jimmy_Cream brilliant comment LOL
How else would you know if it was legit?
I picked up a Hamilton Aviation pilot day date 'Cooper' for 790. My first high end watch...
The h2000 will be 2 years old in a couple of months, bought mine at release in tokyo.
I like ordering from England, under $800 I don't pay tax in the states. Order the watchgecko leather mystery pack.
Hi Gary some good bargains, but surely you made a mistake with the Casio at £35 it's £19-99 now at Argos
I looked at Argos but it wasn’t there…very odd
@@ILikeWatches2 It's there now AE1200 £19-99 now that's a real bargain

The ae1200 is not a bargain. It is only 19.99 in Argos.
Why are you always waffling? Don't you like pancakes? Happy Thanksgiving!😁
Happy Thanksgiving to you too!
Those huge discounts are nice, but they also show what huge retail margins those watches have.. Interesting.
Ever since I bought a watch from MAMACOO, My question is if it's this hard to tell them apart, what is the point of owning an authentic watch?
Gary, offtopic, but what does boxed (sapphire) mean? I suppose it's not a double domed synonym right?
It sits above the bezel and usually has rounded corners….
@@ILikeWatches2 Ok that tracks with my sn0129gc, thank you, still it's such a weird keyword imo 😆
@@rafaelteixeira2739well there is domed sapphire, the near opposite could be true no? 😂 Haha happy holidays
Casio stainless ae1200 £19.99 in Argos.
Seiko Prices are Silly...
I assume these are all UK prices from UK vendors. Some of the prices are decent but most seem overpriced to me.
What makes a 6L45 movement worth 2700 quid?
A board meeting
My family during Thanksgiving dinner. “What the hell are you watching on your phone?!”
Me: They’re half price!
lol….
Picked up the Seiko sla049 on the back of one of these vids for £1250…can’t wait
Nope, nothing caught my fancy. Great video though
No one cares what watch you wear except you. So as the man says, take your time. Buy what you like. Enjoy life.MAMACOO
Who's spending this much on a seiko 😂
