Yes, we can not only expect similar capability but overlap in pricing as well.
Both will be competing in the same pricing too, the uniqueness of THAR will what bring more buyers into the showroom.
I guess since THAR 5Door AKA Armada is engineered to overcome the limitations the customers faced with 3Door, considering Scorpio N is also positioned in the same price, M&M would use this an opportunity to present an SUV with a larger boot. Hence a 4.5-4.6m length would be needed for sure.
I have posted a pic of the boot to the video I linked above.
Hence my theory is, second row space:
XUV700>Scorpio N>Thar 5 Door>Thar 3 Door
Boot space:
Thar 5 Door (460lts)> XUV700 (240lts) >Thar 3Door> Scorpio N

Mahindra doesn't want to venture into the passenger hatch or sedan segment. Considering the Indian geography and preferences, they believe SUVs are the game of the market
