Turner brings great depth behind the probowlers, bodes well for long playoff run, sometimes you see momentum swing in a drive when primary defender goes to the sideline, ie rest or dinged up for 1 play.....Turner gives you security as does other depth guys People like Redmond( he looks like he can take more reps) ot if Takia comes off IR
The future of the Vikings is going to be fun regardless of what happens this season, lets enjoy the ride and dont sell your tickets to Packers fans, Merry Christmas SKOL!!!
I'd love to be wrong, but I've been watching the Vikings since the early 70's and I'm used to the futility. My heart says Super Bowl, but past experience tells me they drop these last two and exit in the first round.
The great Viking teams of the past generally play well in the playoffs and tend to fall short in the Super Bowl. Even when they don't make the Super Bowl, the great teams generally outplay their opponents and nonetheless come up short. They outplayed Dallas in 75, Atlanta in 98, New Orleans in 09, and Seattle in 2016. With the possible exception of 2022 (I did not consider the 22 Vikings to be great), great Vikings teams do not get bounced in the first round. We will see what happens.
I think he's in the mix, Burrows best numbers QB, but may not make playoffs ( disqualifer?) Also Lamar has better numbers, Saqoun could break Dickerson record
The NFL needs to make a stipulation, any division winner that has a record below 12-5, will forfeit their right to a 1st RD home playoff game to any 12-5+ Wildcard team. Basically, if you go 12-5 or better and don’t win your division??? We’re not going to reward other division winners for going 10-7/11-6. In most cases, this will almost never matter. Most years wild card teams will be 9-8 to 11-6 , making division winners record irrelevant. But in a year like this , where DET/GB/MINN have a combined 28-4 record outside their division, the fact that only 1 of them gets a home game over LAR/TB/ATL (Combined 16-16 outside division) IS NUTS.
There is no reason winning a division should guarantee you a 1-4 seeding. Winning the division already guarantees you a playoff spot and that should be enough. Just seed all playoff teams according to record.
I'd actually prefer resting players against Detroit (if locked into a WC spot) since the 6 seed avoids going to Philly in the division round and Detroit doesn't scare me.
I love your brother you thought I hated you when they got rid of Jared Hall as quarterback I told you you are a viking ass kisser but you are right I was wrong as a 70 year old Viking fan I've learned to be a skeptic but you were right brother
I’m commenting after the packers win. This feels so much different than 09 or even 17. This team isn’t 1 dimensional on either side of the ball. If you remember in 09 we had a final stretch a lot like this one. Only we dropped I think 2 or 3 of our last 4 and kind of backed into the playoffs despite being 12-4 or 11-5 whatever it was. (I’ll look it up and edit to be sure). Including games vs a really good cardinals team we lost too. Then the packers we lost too. Then we dog walked the cowboys and thought we were the cats pajamas again. Only to get knocked out by NO in a game we should’ve won had we not had 4 turnovers and the saints literally tried to murder a 40 yo man on live television, and been allowed to get away with it by the on field officials (subsequent suspensions not withstanding). I don’t even think this 2024 team has played up to its full potential for a full 60 mins yet and that’s incredibly exciting to me. We’re peaking at the right time. We might ACTUALLY do the thing…. Edit it was a loss to the cardinals and then to the bears and panthers, but yea we lost 3/5 to end the regular season that year. As I said I’m commenting this after beating gb so now comes Detroit and if we pull it off not only do we get the 1 but we’d have beaten 2 playoff teams to finish the regular season. Love to see it for us Edit2: another thought I just had about that 09 team. Who were the top receivers? Sydney rice and Bernard berrian? Then you have the te shiancoe you have harvin. You have Peterson at rb. Compare that to who we have now. Jefferson #1 in the game. Addison, probably the best #2 out there? Who would you put ahead of him? Maybe one of the guys from Detroit Amon ra or Jameson Williams depending on who you peg as their 1? Hockenson, top 10 te without elite qb play. Aaron jones who despite only having 1000 yards of like to see the per carry stats bc im pretty sure he’s up around 5/6 ypc. It’s just not a running sport anymore. Then you have nailer Or Powell depending on the situation. On defense it’s not just Jared Allen getting 22 sacks. This team is built different man. If I hadn’t been seeing it with my own eyes for the past 5 months I wouldn’t believe it but this is the best Vikings team I’ve seen in my lifetime. Edit 3: I want the rams so bad. That defense is bad and won’t be able to stop this current 7.1.8 version of Sam darnold. Plus if you take away that safety and give us the 15 yards we have a pretty good start on that final drive down by 8 with all 3 timeouts. I want that loss back. I want revenge. Only team i don’t want in the playoffs is Philly. Saquon Barkley is a PROBLEM. Final edit: I live in Tampa so naturally I was at the jags game. After the positive I took bc it wasn’t a fun game to watch was “hey we played the worst game offensively that we could possibly play but we still won, that’s pretty good” I never would’ve imagined we’d run the table after that but shit glad I was right.
Never been more nervous for a Packer/Viking game
Thats what makes it so great
If they win then they are in it for the number 1 seed !!
@@skolvikings354 they lose, Bye Bye #1 Seed. (They won't at home).
@@jimnfl7134then they rest up and play backups in the lions game to be fresh for their wild card game.
But also the most excited
Love listening to Manny.
I remember the 1970 Super Bowl loss. I have suffered through it all. Maybe this year.
One game at a time, smart to be cautiously optimistic. What a fun year though so far.
Dallas Turner gas also made some good tackles when they have tried to run to his side....powerful to tackle those power RBs
All I can do is one game at a time! I'm just enjoying the ride!! SKOL
Coller, love you for your commitment and professionalism
Merry christmas coller and thank you for everything you do!

Van Ginkel gets NFC defensive player of the week.
Manny Rocks!!!
If the Vikings get the #1 seed and Darnold continues to play like this, he should be the MVP.

Lots of band wagon Viking pod cast out there now that they’re winning. This one has always been informative and legit.
@@Score1more like what? This guys solid but is a bit of a prick. Everyone else has been solid too

If we lose to GB , det game may still mean something, because GB could win week 18 , and take over 5th seed, we would be 6th
Destiny? Why not US!
5th seed is the lowest we can go

15 wins in ‘98, DUH!
Umm, pretty sure Vikes get the 6 seed if tied with GB. GB is way ahead in strength of victory.

Much more nervous about the Lions in week 18. Sorry, but the Packers just aren’t in the same league this year.

I would say the odds are zero since the Vikings lose the next 2 games.
