I enjoyed it a lot... but mostly as something separate from the trilogy. The trilogy tried hard, and told a captivating story that provoked a lot of thought. Hard not to love it. The 4th, flipped the table and made an intentional mockery of it all and just completely reversed things, as if the plot of the movie was just the resigned making of the movie. Something someone didn't want to do, but took the money for in spite. I suppose if one was to get "too into" a movie's world, you'd be offended by the 4th... but the 4th had me laughing like the trilogy never did, and was a movie that was like nothing I'd ever seen before.

I believe you would have to get them both at the same time to terminate the twins processes permanently. And as we've seen, it already seems impossible to terminate one of them.

Really good explanation video. I liked the sequels more than most, though I do feel that they were slightly rushed and disjointed. If everything you explained here could've been slightly more alluded to during the films then maybe they would have come across a little more cohesive. However, the first Matrix didn't spoon-feed the audience either and that was one of its huge strengths. It was just a little tighter and more polished overall, and such an intense concept that the shock of watching it the first few times couldn't quite be replicated by the sequels, even though they had so much more depth to offer to the larger story. It's true the twins were incredibly powerful, but ultimately no match for Team Morpheus. I'd imagine at the end, when Smith had taken over everything, key renegade programs like the Twins probably hid somewhere. I also think it's likely that Smith managed to take over some of them, like some of the Merovingian's lesser henchmen, and I suppose their programs were finally deleted after Neo's sacrifice. Perhaps the final/current iteration of the Matrix involved cutting down on some of the computer criminal underbelly, so to speak. But definitely not all.
The hilarity of hearing how perfect the wachowski story was, when it was not the story begin with, they did not write the story they took the ideas from..

I do like The Matrix but for my money, Back to the Future is the best-crafted sci-fi movies in terms of continuity between movies.
