- A rare Javan Gibbon has survived the first few months of life thanks to Perth Zoo staff who continue to care for it around the clock. The male Gibbon named ‘Owa’ or ‘gibbon’ in Indonesian has had to be reared by Perth Zoo keepers six days after his birth when it became evident that mother, ‘Hecla’ wasn’t producing enough milk to sustain her infant.

Great job for the wonderful caregivers at the Perth Zoo. I love Gibbons. It’s so cool how they swing thru branches effortlessly. They’re graceful and beautiful. This lil one is too cute.
More behaved and more beautiful than baby macaques. So adorable, I love it ❤️

Could ANYTHING be cuter than this sweetheart! What a living doll! Not very different from a human baby except much cuter, larger eyes, and able to climb out of his crib - yikes! I feel like giving him a kiss on his little tutti lips! Great job team! Truly lovely fella!

I love the way they feed him that he's holding onto a soft animal stuffed animal and being fed kind of like he was on top of his mom I really like that like somebody knew what they were doing finally keep up the good work I enjoy it very much and he's so adorable
