well, good, cos they looked like flash animations even back then in 2002, compared to Black Isle games those cinematics were inferior; only HotU shows big improvement over the rest
Was watching a Baldurs Gate 3 review and suddenly felt the urge to watch these. Neverwinter 1 and 2 were amazing (still playable today) and as one gentleman in the comments put it "they don't make them like this anymore".
Mob mentality and a weakened leader seeking to placate them, what other outcome would there be? Does not make it right but there you go. Not that Aribeth ended up any different in the end.
I'm so glad you uploaded these. The story of the first Neverwinter Nights is so compelling and dramatic. I need to hear it every once and a while in this incredible narration.
Neverwinter was undoubtedly the MOST fantastic gameplay ever made, in my humble opinion. Even after all these decades, I can’t forget it, and my mind often drifts back to it. I was literally heartbroken about Aribeth’s fate. Just if I had lost a real-life friend. And yes Fenthick's death was Criminal!
You've done me a favour with this! I was annoyed enough I actually considered rooting out my old WinXP computer to play through, glad I don't have to now.
It's from Neverwinter Nights, probably the best RPG on the computer. Made by Bioware, the same people who made the Baldur's Gate, Dragon Age and Mass Effect games. This is my third favorite game, and I've played a lot of games so that's something :)
I've had this game for awhile but got distracted with mt modded yet broken af Skyrim game and had to fix it and now I'm back because my Xbox One X has to be factory reset... and I booted up the game made a sorc and then tried going full screen which is the *enter button* and I skipped the cut scene by accident XD So thanks for uploading this I'd be lost without ya and this vid! ^^;; I've only ever played Neverwinter the online game... and enjoyed the general atmosphere of the world it was set in.. and thought I'd go as far back as to see what it was like before when this all started!
I love how each cutscene in the original campaign has a different color to it, while the ending has multiple colors, showing a more "true" image of the city and events that took place. that's not something I'd have noticed unless viewing these cutscenes side by side
i just reinstal NVN again and man i just surprised 1 chapter took so long to finish dont remmember it took this long on my 1sr playthriugh long time ago XD, so many content so little time
Oh, how I laughed when the big baddie was revealed in this game all those years ago...... My auntie's name is Morag. -_- She's only half as mad as this one, mind.
nwn is the disgrace for DnD and RPG genre. It was ugly, very boring, childish, shallow and "raw". try Baldurs Gate or even mediocre Icewind Dale may suffice and u will see what true DnD should look and feel like.
@@shogun8379 the game engine and toolset are what make NWN so great. All the mods and servers that run custom campaigns make it worth its salt. The main campaign is fun if cheesy. I enjoy it either way! I love NWN!
i tried playing the original campaign and made it into chapter 2 but its so boring i quit. i knew before starting that the campaign was terrible though. at some point ill try out the expansions but for now im playing the vastly superior NWN 2.
The 1st NWN was built around the expansions and the module import from the consumers, so even if the main campaign fails to deliver, modules like Hex Coda, A Dance With Rogues, Aelund Saga, The Prophet Series, etc, surely live up to the standarts in quality, in the case of "ADWR" specialy in the writting and atmosphere departments. While NWN2 improved the main campaign it still felt short and uncompleted, the first expansion while having an exquisit writting still had some issues regarding "why I should give a fuck about The Wall or for the matter, anyone aside from the celestial touched gal who was the only one with an convincing argument for what she was trying to do?" and from that point, not a single expansion lived up to meet the quality standarts of the old Hordes of the Underdark. Since 70%~85% of the module development is STILL runing (and being updated) around the Aurora Engine, NWN2 does not have much to live up after you finished the main game and its expansions, sure people did amazing jobs like importing Baldur's Gate into the Electron Engine and I think they even brough Icewind Dale too, but as much as impressive that is, is nothing compared with what you can find aviable for the first NWN.
They don't make them like this anymore, always loved the these cinematics with the atmosphere it creates

We can't find a hero to save us? LETS EDUCATE ONE!!! :D
Nacho Vanhardisk I wish that worked as well in the real world as it did in this game.
If only
That could mean that monsters (other then us) would come 2 reality or raise from the darkness itself.
10/10 quality description.

I just love the fact that someone actually made "hero academy". Sorry dudes I have to enter hell and kill some deamons but I'll be back for dinner.

The line after which anyone from Icewind Dale starts laughing his ass off:):):)

Thank you so much for the video. It's nice to be able to watch the ending cinematics to NWN once I finally did finish the game.

One of the finest world editors I have ever seen.
I had just started a fresh play through and had the very problem that you mentioned. Thanks for the upload!

“Nasher Alagondar” is the most DnD name I’ve heard.
Khelben "Blackstaff" Arunsun?
Idk, I had no problem with cinematics on w7.
Truly one of the best rpg.
thx for theses videos, i've got the video bug and i'm really happy to see the cutscene here, even in english
The narrator... just epic
The cinematics for Undrentide, its rise and fall, are amazing.
This shit used to really inspire my imagination
I still own and play my copy of Neverwinter Nights 1 Diamond Edition with the newest updates and i have all the older updates such as 1.68 and 1.67.

Cool. Thanks much for your efforts bro!
All you had to do was go into your settings.ini file and set SafeMovie to 1 to watch cinematics in NWN1.

Thank you.
My story begins from the horror that is & was "The Wailing Death" put mildly. The story of Dreki Linden Hodd 👣
Sounds like the same guy who voices Duncan from Dragon age origins. I love both of those games.
Duncan was voiced by Peter Reneday. He never voiced anyone in Neverwinter nights 1.

this is a greta game but i find a replacement in Dungeons And Dragons Online which is free but I had buy lots of stuff to expand the gaming experience
