  • Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh is a global spiritual leader, poet and peace activist, revered throughout the world for his powerful teachings and bestselling writings on mindfulness and peace.
His key teaching is that, through mindfulness, we can learn to live happily in the present moment-the only way to truly develop peace, both in one’s self and in the world.
Thich Nhat Hanh has published over 100 titles on meditation, mindfulness and Engaged Buddhism, as well as poems, children’s stories, and commentaries on ancient Buddhist texts. He has sold over three million books in America alone, some of the best-known include Peace Is Every Step, The Miracle of Mindfulness, The Art of Power, True Love and Anger.
Thich Nhat Hanh has been a pioneer in bringing Buddhism to the West, founding six monasteries and dozens of practice centers in America and Europe, as well as over 1,000 local mindfulness practice communities, known as ‘sanghas’.
He has built a thriving community of over 600 monks and nuns worldwide, who, together with his tens of thousands of lay students, apply his teachings on mindfulness, peace-making and community-building in schools, workplaces, businesses - and even prisons - throughout the world.
Thich Nhat Hanh, now in his 88th year, is a gentle, humble monk - the man Martin Luther King called “An Apostle of peace and nonviolence.” The media has called him “The Father of Mindfulness,” “The Other Dalai Lama” and “The Zen Master Who Fills Stadiums.”

@jesusochoa3097 facts. Even the Buddha himself knew that when he said "I am not the shore. I am but a boat to get you there. Do not worship me."
Guess we all see how well people listened. I honestly think Buddhism is a companion to Christianity. It helps you prepare your body and mind with discipline and understanding so that we can be the kind of human that God wants us to be in order to follow Him.

From the standpoint of an engineer, i hear him describing the first law of thermodynamics, the law of conservation of energy: "energy can neither be created, nor destroyed. It only tranforms from one form to another."
What buddhism found to be true is in alignment with what science found to be true.

I have listened to Thay for over twenty five years and he has had a profound effect on my life. His explanations regarding anxiety and despair are very encouraging. Its only by looking deeply that transformation can take place.I still have some past memories which disturb me but ultimately there is tremendous freedom in his talks. Also there is no dogma in the talks. Its such a pity that
these teachings are not on school curriculums as their potential for lasting personal, and world peace are vast.thank you my friend

As our biology teacher miss Targowska was always saying "Nothing gets lost in the nature". She was always telling us that everything continues, for example when she was talking about ATP. I was always very spiritual and observant and her words matched so well my reality. I continued to be first master of biology, then transformed to be a PhD and I have never had a problem of connecting the nature of the things with scientific approach. It is one and the same.

The singer sings in French, she's singing about children, the poor, the orphans, the war torn people. Despite her tears she longs to smile at both life and death. She won't be stopped by fear, she will become one with nature. She'll open her eyes to the wanders of life and keep walking on.
oh never mind she sings in English right after 😅

    Gracias

So, we’re really talking about “LOSS”.
We misunderstand loss. We believe we can lose people, circumstances and things... and this causes is GRIEF. So what he is saying is that grief isn’t necessary when we really understand the nature of reality.
