needed to get the cool hub maintenance done and didn't have a clue ! Your video saved the day , easy informative approach and instructions . Got er done ! Thanks
Thanks for the video, great help. 1 thing though, I am currently reading the owners manual for my 2003 Ranger Comanche 185 DVX, and it specifically says right in the manual, 50wt, Standard motor oil (non synthetic). Not so sure I would use anything the owners manual did not reccomend.
I've been told to only fill them up 1/2 to 3/4 so as not to blow out the seal when the oil expands. Is there any truth to this, or will I be fine filling them almost full?
I watched the video because I have a 2016 ranger trailer and the owners manual says that it has cool hubs . I was going to change the oil watched the video. I removed the tire and my hubs have no drain plug . I went to rangers web sight and cannot get any information. Can you help me Thank you
He has a an older model- looks like 1998- to early 2000's style. I have a 1997 462VS and looks the same. So not sure about your 2016 model. Must be a different design if no allen screw drain plug?
@kittcatt8yo 1. Done it both ways. Never a problem. The key is make sure it is tight. 2. I state the recommendation in the video. I personally believe synthetic is a better rout in all marine applications 3. Your nuts! Milky is never good!

Thanks for this video. I wish I would have had it the first time I tried to change mine.
