Core xr6 vs orbit, which one boost and Kite loops the best ? How do they compare?

Great question and a very popular one for us. They are both 5 strut bow style kites that go really big. The feel is quite different though. There isn’t really a better or worse they are just different.
The Orbit has a faster turning more direct feel than the XR6 due to the no pulley bridle design. When you pull the bar the kite instantly moves with the Orbit so the Orbit feels faster.
The power per kite size feels similar but the XR6 has easier access to that power though the entire wind window. Even at the edge of the window, you can sheet in the XR6 and go. The Orbit you need to drop more into the power zone to get the same juice.
The big question is what one boosts and loops better? Because the XR6 has power everywhere in the window you can access the boost easier. The Orbit you need to steer it from the power up to boost so it takes a little more precision to get the same airtime. The Orbit has more of a wing tip on it so when you look it low it give you a solid rip through the window.
Overall the XR6 is a little easier to hit big airs and the Orbit has more precision jump for more extreme loops. Both kites have giant wind range. Both go upwind awesome. Both are sick kites. Which one you buy depends if you want to have a faster more direct feel of the Orbit or the easier access to big air with the XR6.

I'd be happy with a 5 strut kite that loops consistantly.

@@REALWatersports I'm trying to decide between both, how are they different?

if someone has trouble looping a 12 meter kite then they need to practice more or get the right bar. i loop kites up to 16 meters without any problems.

Mark Jacobs kites in windy places, not to be elitist or whatever but if you own and regularly use a 16m you're, not in an environment which is very desirable for pro level riders.

After the Naish Pivot 2020 review, I don't trust this guy anymore.

What's up with the 2020 pivot?

@@brianhurlow4506 nothing wrong with the kite, just the review saying something about shape changes when 2019 and 2020 have the same shape.

@@papi12376 Luis, the Naish 2020 Pivot has a lower aspect ratio than 2019, or to quote their website a "Low Drag Wing Tip". The shape of the kite from 19'-20' is extremely similar, we were pointing out a difference that Naish confirm on their own site as well. Cheers

That is too bad you don't trust our reviews any more. We have been kiteboarding since 1998, and it is our goal Ride It and Review It. The first thing we noticed when we put up the 2020 Pivot was how much wider the wing tip was over the 2019. The kite is lower aspect with more arc and a much fatter wing tip. We aren't engineers, just kiteboarder that have been doing it a long time and that is what we visually noticed. We have ridden the 2020 Pivot a bunch and it definitely is a different shape. Kevin was here for the Cape Hatteras Wave Classic, and he confirmed that they changed the shape of the 2020 Pivot a lot so it would be better at looping for King of the Air. Get out there and try both kites back to back and you will feel and see the difference for sure. 2020 Pivot, 2020 Orbit and XR6 are so sick, and we are stoked that the industry is pushing the sport in the right direction.

      What about Duotone Rebel then?

Awesome! A kite I can buy "for the wife" to mow the lawn that I can "borrow" during nuking days! ;-) Since it's for the wife it doesn't count against my kite quota for the year.
