Thanks for the great review! Which size+windspeed combination is able to do kiteloops in the least amount of wind, so that the orbit can still catch you before you land? (I hope you understand my question haha, i.e. is it possible with a 9m in 20 kts already?)
At 80kg, 20 knots is borderline for looping (I think or any size). I only unpack my 9m Orbit when wind gusts are at least 23 knots (which is enough for some basic looping), but it can be ridden from about 18 knots. If it gusts up to 22 knots or less, I can easily handle my 13m Rebel and do some old school. Haven't had a chance to try an orbit bigger than 11m, but 11m also needed gusts of at least 22 knots to properly loop.
Good ones. XR7 has more low end and bar pressure. The Orbit has more a more connected feel on the loops. They are very similar products and really predictable kites. The XR is easier to get really litt on and handles being overpowered better. The Orbit has a more of a direct feel that you can really understand where the kite is at all times by feel. Hope that helps.
Hey Matt. I’m really curious about the new Ocean Rodeo Aluula Rise. Please do a review and compare to the other big air kites, Orbit, XR7, Edge. I owned an Egde V10. Great kite, however I would love to have it with Aluula. I do own an Aluula Flite. Great material. Thanks!
Quite different than the Edge V10. The Edge is higher performance in the sense it rides farther forward in the wind window and has a higher bar pressure. The Orbit is easier to handle but harder to access the top range performance. Edge isn’t the easiest to ride but can take you to mega heights.
Used to riding Duotone Dice 2021's 7 and 9 - winging and foiling alot more now so may reduce my kites to one kite just to go for a 'SESSION' on when its blowing fairly well. I also wing in 2.5 m conditions. I'm 65/70kg, experienced rider... I was thinking 8m Orbit. What do you think I could get out of this range wise? I ride my 7m dice 20-35/40 . 9m Dice 18-25 i' m guessing.
So I take it there’s no real difference between 2021 and 2022? I decided to buy the 2021 this month because it was less expensive and there didn’t seem to be many changes made. Which I’m fine with because the 2021 is a solid kite.
Hmmm. Really depends on the rider. For me personally, I think that the Orbit is easier to handle overpowered but the Edge will have marginally higher too end.
Thanks for the great review!

Can you tell me something about Orbit 2023 12m?
I weight 83kg and have a 136 reedin kevrpo.
How low you think is the wind range?
Orbit 2022 vs XR7. Low end, bar pressure, powered loops. Go! 😋

@@REALmattnuzzo 🔝 thank you!

Do you have to fly this kite though?I like to have to fly it and tweak it a bit Or is it more rebel like pull bar in etc.
What do you advice to buy to a beginner, 60kg, looping, wind almost costantly 5-20 knots? it goes up to 25 knots only some days in a month
Nice kite, but I will stick to my quiver of xr7’s

Actually most of our riders felt that the 2022 had more power and a more aggressive turn.
Which one do you consider has better top end ? 2022 orbit or edge v10??
Orbit
Edge
