Well done Jomez, I'll always love you. But I hate this. I already spend $14/month for UA-cam-premium, specifically to watch disc golf. I'm not spending the same amount to watch (adequate) coverage of one event. It's a shame, because I think the EU-Open is the best tournament to show someone who doesn't understand disc golf. Huge crowds + scoreable course + respect for the sport = perfect conditions to 'grow the sport'. Alas, this will be the least-viewed EU-Open in a decade.
This is sad. I love Jomez coverage more than any other, and purposely stay off social media and don't watch other coverage and updates so I don't spoil the results 😅😞

Why does it take until ONE DAY AGO (as of Sunday July 23) for you guys to post this anywhere? Why not have a banner or notification on your youtube channel, even a forum for Jomez-centric discussion? There are people asking all over your old youtube video comments about the EURO coverage. That's so absurd to have to come to an old video and ask in the comments. Just ridiculous. Please do better for your audience, or at least be better business people for your own sake. Crappy way to treat the audience you've cultivated over the years and especially the patreon patrons. As to the main issue, I hate it too. This is directed to DGN now (b/c owns Jomez as of recently), but you guys are some greedy mfs to make peeps subscribe to your live coverage to be able to access the Jomez-style coverage in a timely way. I have heard it will be the second week in August before the Jomez-style post-produced coverage will be available on youtube. You're not making enough off UA-cam adds and views? Really? You're willing to alienate and piss off people (which has financial consequences) in hopes of making a few more bucks somewhere down the road?
On my 4th or 5th time ever playing disc golf, KJ was standing on one of the holes with a rake, making it look real nice. I asked him if he was a green keeper, and he said no, they just help each other maintain the quality of the course. He introduced himself, gave a bunch of helpful tips for me and my friend when we were putting. Went home, looked him up, and found out he was my country's GOAT. Woopsies. Such a nice dude!
I love watching Uli breakdown the hole with no sound. The hand motions and facial expressions are so fun to try to guess what he's talking about. I know it's frustrating, but ya'll are doing great work. thanks!

KJ had a full time job all the time he was playing, think about how good he could have been if Innova had put him on there A-Team, so he could have lived from it, had the same time to practice as the full time pros and gone to the US for more tournaments.
legacy patriot, their premium plastic (pinnacle) is really unique and really amazing. I think patriot is amazing because you dont just use it as a beginner, you use it as a beginner and it flies amazing for years.

Really enjoyed the breakdown of shot shaping and strategy, but we miss half the context because you guys didn't talk about the discs you were using. It would really help fill out the watching/learning experience if that was more of a focus in your narration. Also verbalizing your estimation of distances would be cool. That would let us feel more connected to your decision making process as you go.
Jomez being acquired by DGPT was the worst thing that ever happened to disc golf. Who the heck wants to watch the coverage two weeks after the event? Hopefully MDG Media can replace them, their stuff reminds me of the good old Jomez.
This was so nice. Every now and then ya need a practice round without the big guy. All positive vibes the whole time and no chirping for once. Believe it or not, people actually enjoy being around people that aren’t snarky 99% of the time. Lol!
I would pay good money for Uli lessons. Seeing some of the improvements the pros make with a tiny bit of coaching makes me wonder how much improvement there would be with a few hours of work for my 760 rated ass.

The Disc Golf Pro Tour (DGPT) has purchased JomezPro, a popular disc golf production company. DGPT is now effectively a monopoly in the disc golf media space. This is a bad development for the sport of disc golf. Monopolies tend to drive up prices and stifle innovation. The PDGA, which is the governing body of disc golf, is separate from the DGPT. The PDGA Board of Directors is elected by PDGA members, and they have the power to create a new Pro Tour and to reallocate broadcast rights. The PDGA Board of Directors should do this in order to break up the DGPT's monopoly.
That was the disc he teed off with. He was kicking it to where the far edge was so he didn't have to put down a mini, basically the same as if he had flipped it over. Still thought it was funny though and shows how competitive he is to take the extra foot in a practice round.
They all flip their discs no matter where they are. Nate, Jerm, Uli, KJ, me. At this point, it's an expectation for them to take their shot from marked not behind the disc

I putt with an old glow Mako, my goto fairway driver is a Champion Valkyrie, and my driver of choice is a Star Shryke (169g) I learned about the game 22 years ago when a friend: set a cooler down on the TeeBox, gave me a DX Cheetah and Aviar, then told me, "you carry the cooler every hole I win." I've never looked back.🧡 any discs a pro wants to gift a lover of the game like me would be greatly appreciated
