- I took my old Super Takumar 28mm 3.5 with me to Shenyang, China. Taking a ride into the city on the new underground train I checked out a few of the sights and put the lens to the test. What do you think? For £30 is this good value?

Nice shots man! I love this lens, though using it on a Fuji crop sensor. Would love to use it on a full-frame sensor at some point. 28mm looks fantastic.
Thanks for that great video. I have that lens and I use it on my Pentax F Spotmatic. It is a hidden gem I got mine sometime ago and I noticed the prices have really gone sky high as with all classic lenses.
Thanks for watching! I love the lens, even shot a short film on it last year! It's a solidly built lens, I'm not surprised it's worth more now, especially considering how well it holds up to modern lenses.

Nice review, I’ve just picked up a canon FD 28mm 2.8 to try as I have the takumar 28mm too. I will be torn on which to keep I think lol

It's a beautiful lens - still my fave. Nice bokeh is possible at close focusing distances but being a wide and at f3.5 it's not going to be a prominent feature of the lens. What is there is lovely though!

Also how do you feel about using a normal adapter vs one that eliminates the 1.5 crop factor.
I have this lense and love it. But it looks like you might be getting a full frame experience?
There's no crop factor on thr a7iii as it's full frame, and it's a full frame lens. If you put a focal reducer adapter on this camera you'd get some.... crazy results.
When you walk around town do you take a whole bag or just camera? I get nervous thinking about taking a bigger bag around with me.
Hey! For this, I just had the camera around my neck and the one lens. I like to decide on a fixed prime before I head out - forces you to experiment :) Shenyang is a very safe city though, it depends which city you visit! Most in China are safe but I wouldn't be so comfortable in the US

I have both of those lenses for my Pentax and my Nikon and they are indeed fantastic
