    I've been following Ozil since day 1 in Madrid. Arsenal Ozil was great but at least a level down than his first two years in Spain. He was a mixture of speed and explosiveness of a winger (as he was in Schalke and Bremen) and the technical genius you saw in England. Truly spectacular.

    • @gabrielaleactus9932
      @gabrielaleactus9932 3 місяці тому +5

      I always think in real madrid players get that extra pressure to give their all, that's missing in other teams. This is partly due to how abusive RM supporters are, they don't spare players who don't try their best. This thing is absent in most other team's supporters.

      I think he's the type of player that plays at his best when he has great players around him. I don't mean that as an insult. I think he just operates at such a high level that when he's with the best he brings out the best. That's why we see Germany and Madrid Ozil untouchable, and arsenal ozil, while great, not at that level.

    Ozil is a player tailor made for Arsenal ! Like Bergkamp, Henry, Pires…etc he symbolized that beautiful Wenger ball, that gunner offensive nonchalant approach that involves the whole team and sometimes sacrifices results sometimes (most of the time during the 2010 but whatever) and yes they try to « walk it in » because they know when it works it draws every football fan eyes to Highbury/Emirates !

    Someone high ranking must find a way to bring him back home to reconcile with the current team and leadership so that he can be embraced by his true family. Same with Aubameyang.
    It was absolutely right what Arteta did letting them go. That old mentality of being casual and not caring about a serious winning mentality was completely killed by Arteta and there was no room for them; Arteta put the team ahead of everything and everyone and for the first time, we suddenly started behaving like winners in everything!
    There’s no hate for these guys. They must be humble and understanding to return to their home and the fans will see how they accept the club once again, and they’ll forever be grateful for coming back.

    • @ZSergioZ1
      @ZSergioZ1 23 дні тому

      Wrong! He did track back and he also presses in the front! It is the decision of the trainer how hard your midfield has to work back! You can’t do it for 90min. You need the right balance because your midfielder will in the front!

    I'm quite sure he never wanted to leave Madrid and was never quite as motivated after winning the World Cup. People forget Arsenal were in disarray at that time and perhaps under Arteta he'd have consistently been at his best. I heard CR7 protested at his transfer. I guess they had to pay for Bale somehow, but stylistically, Oezil was a joy to watch.

  • @TheLion377
    @TheLion377 Місяць тому +2

    He spoke out against the Uyghur Genocide and that's why he was treated the way he was. Thousands of players have come into the prem, not done well, and then been moved on. Mesut Ozil was the only player in the history of the PL who was removed from the video games, removed from his team and completely erased. Facts are facts. Years later we realize, but at the time we make excuses and say he was too lazy. How do you speak about KDB? It took how much time for him to break Ozil's record?
    Again, facts are facts. When Ozil came, he was playing in a different league it seemed, and that was clear to anyone observing Arsenal even from afar.
    So, stop with the revisionism.
