That's cause Most anime characters, mostly villains, are already powered up and there is nothing they can do about it or they can't be damaged while transforming.
I love how lore-friendly this is! It didn't go crazy out of proportion with DBZ-esque beam clashes and mountain destroying, even when they went into their Super Forms. After Frontiers, there's nothing in this video that I wouldn't expect these two to actually do canonically. Really well made!

I'll admit, at first I was a little bit on the fence because it kinda bothers me when people give Sonic abilities that I've never seen before (that "walking afterimage" thing he did in the beginning), but the choreography, sound effects, and pacing were all spectacular and I've gotta give credit where it's due.
