We have a Thermador dishwasher - it was the ONLY dishwasher in the entire Atlanta metro area during the pandemic with a lighted interior. I called around for weeks before I found one. Anyhow, it has been excellent, and has run at least 2 loads a day in the 3-1/2 years we’ve had it. There hasn’t been one item that has come out still dirty after a wash, and with the zeolite dry on it, it dries much better than anything else we’ve had. My mom comes to visit often and she loves it so much she asked me to order one for her home to replace an old Bosch she has that’s near EOL.
Thanks for this review. We are getting a Thermador dishwasher as a freebie with our new stove. It replaces a ten year old Bosch which has been perfect.
I haven't owned a lot of high end ranges but hands down one of the best ranges for both cooktop and oven that I've ever cooked on was my grandmother's high end GE gas range that she bought in the late 90s. It only had one high output burner and a single oven but I've never seen a more even oven, the cooktop was a dream for everything except stir-fry (it was just shy of being hot enough to get wok hei) and it broiled steaks really well. My grandparent's house was the Sunday family dinner spot and she was older so I did most of the family dinner cooking for 10+ years. I can see how a higher end Monogram would be an excellent range.
Went appliance shopping for our new custom home. We were fairly set on Thermador as we had a good experience with our last kitchen. However, Monogram really impressed us. The Monogram shelving, doors, racks, handles and cooking tech feel and seem superior to Thermador right now. We’re leaning Monogram!
This was the exact comparison I did last yr. We ended up going with Monogram mainly because we couldn’t get comfortable with the 1/2 free configurations and I worried a bit about service for thermador.
I have had an all gas Thermador Pro Grande for 18 years with just one small repair. We cook a lot. I am passing on my Pro Grande and have ordered a Thermador Harmony because it fits better with my countertops. I don't want all these timers and gadgets and I am glad I can get a Thermador without all that junk. I use Siri on my watch to time everything. Reliability is important to me and also a solid quality look. I just hope that I have good luck with duel fuel. I will probably miss my gas broiler. .
Which do you recommend for when looking at good service, electric all (trying to get my carbon footprint down so no gas), I love and need a stove while needing that extra oven for holidays and some just normal meals as I have a big family. Refrigerator and freezer I would like a side by side without water possibility panel. Except I don't want to pay $5,000 + for just one of them. Thank you for the recommendation for the dishwasher. I have been watching your channel for a few years and we are just about to buy our big appliances. This would be my husband and I's first time and I want to get it right.
@@YaleAppliance1 That I am not sure how high. I just go and look at all that is talked about and I feel like I could be putting a down payment on a car. I know for good quality you pay for, but I guess the prices just seem really high. 🤷
DO NOT BUY MONOGRAM!!! I did a total new kitchen reno. My monogram dishwasher still doesn't work after 6 months. They came out 5 times to try and fix it, I have 3 dishwasher doors sitting in my dining room, then finally agreed to replacing it. They have made 4 additional trips to try and replace it and they keep showing up damaged. I still don't have a working dishwasher. Monograms customer service is terrible, they could care less. Lost countless hours on the phone with them, not to mention the 9 days we had to wait for a 4 hour window for a tech to show up. The person installing the dishwasher also damaged my brand new cabinets and their response is "Call our insurance company." STAY AWAY FROM MONOGRAM!!! Also, this is nothing against Yale Appliance being I purchased from a supplier near me.
I laugh when I hear _GE_ and _service_ in the same chapter. When I called for service for my three-month-old refrigerator I got a phone clerk whose baby squawled so loudly I couldn't hear the woman. I politely suggested that she might put the baby in the other room so I could hear her, and she said "I'm sorry if my baby is an inconvenience for you." That experience with GE customer service has made a permanent Bosch customer of me, except for my Speed Queen washer and dryer.

Its a Bosch, but they are only offering their basic models

I'd say the average person considers Thermador higher end than Monogram. (Just based off the name / brand alone, not saying that's true or accurate)
Can you comment on the induction cooktops? This was missed in review
I know...we messed this one up. We have two separate videos on Monogram Vs Thermador induction in a few weeks

If it was a GE Monogram range from the late 90's, then it was actually a rebadged DCS range. DCS used to make the GE Monogram ranges for GE.

I need you guys in the Southern California 😊. I am remodeling my kitchen and decided to buy luxury appliances. I have no clue what to buy 😢
We need you here :).....let me know what questions you have, I am happy to answer

What price range? I would look at GE because they have the largest service department

FYI , Electric ranges leave a higher carbon footprint. Unless
You’re cooking with a solar powered range
Hello Steve & Fran!
🙂
You skipped cooktops/Rangetops/induction
I know.....not our best video. We have that separate video due out in a few weeks
@@YaleAppliance1 No worries, wish you had a store in Lewes DE
@@YaleAppliance1Excellent! Looking forward to that review!
So do we
Get Bosch appliances and put thermador handles on it. 🎉
smart...You can buy a refrigerator this way
On all Bosch refrigerators?
Nothing about speed ovens. There is no point of not having speed oven over a standard microwave
Sure there is...You can use as a convection oven, microwave or combination.

Me too. My GE fridge always was freezing cold in the back and froze everything. Customer service was very poor. Never again on GE anything.
