- Should you get a metal carry-on? I think so but it's a personal choice. In this video i explain the pros and cons of metal luggage.

Awesome review like always. Will consider.
Owww same Initials, JTR 🔥😍 I hope I can get one of this
The problem with the LV wide pole design is that you can't slide a computer bag onto to rails so not very practical for business travelers.
Very true, I didn't think about that
Briggs n riley luggage has outsider handle that doesnt interfere with inside space
thank you for sharing Jose! :-)
Very helpful brother!
Thanks for watching!
Great review!
Thanks for watching I appreciate
Love your hair❤️
love your channel. i've been thinking of doing something for years now. just wondering, how long does it take to get monetized from youtube (subscribers/views), how long did it take for your to make $100 per month, $500 per month, $1,000 per month? thank you so much. keep up the great work. also, what camera do you use, how do you edit, and how do you add the copyright free music? sorry for all the beginner questions, but i am truly a beginner hoping to start one day soon.
It takes a long time and it all depends on the type of video and now long people watch for. You got to do it because its a hobby or something because it'll take a while to really start making money.
*I love tour wave-designed Tumi!*
A more practical and roughed-up Samsonite is probably less likely to get stolen, right?
I own too much Tumi and also own several men’s Alpha wallets including the new jacquard (#1 most-highly recommend!) but it just seems like that beautifully-engineered luggage may be such a thief-magnet anymore.
That piece alone emptied of all it’s contents is worth at least $50 US crack dollars 😢. But the first thing that goes through a thief’s mind when they see a roughed-up piece of luggage is, well tbh… smelly socks and underwear lol.
I mean it does attract attention because it’s shiny but I’m not worried about it being stolen.
I haven’t had my luggage stolen. Also everyone should be using AirTags
Thanks for the video! Could you say something about how loud the wheels are? Especially on something like cobblestone or a rough street, many suitcases are horribly loud. These rubberized wheels make me hopeful this one might be different...
They perform really well on cobblestone. They're loud because the rubber isn't really soft. It sounds like normal luggage not louder than you'd expect.
@@JoseTheRover Thank you! What about the Sterling Pacific you reviewed? Is it quieter? Both are quite beautiful.
@@krnzio my Victorinox bag with hinimoto wheels was very quiet across all European roads. I prefer soft luggage for checked, and hard for carry on
Really good review and puts my samsonite bag to shame
What's her name? Samsonite

What is the size of the one you’re reviewing?
Torn between Rimowa and Tumi. Thanks for the review.
Thanks for watching!
Rimowa has better wheels and the telescopic handle is better and sturdier. Design is subjective, while I think the Tumi looks very nice, to me, it can’t beat the timeless design of the Rimowa Classic.
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Nice looking bag but at 5 kg I don’t think it makes sense as a carry on on international airlines where a carry on limit is around 7-8 kg, very few allow more. Oh, I just took a peek at the price. 900 euros?
Yeah unfortunately thats the price for a quality aluminum case. The weight hasn’t been a problem for me though. I’ve flown a ton of European budget airlines and I haven’t had my case weighed… but you never know. Either way the point is that it fits in most overhead bins and if you’re already paying for a carry-on case you’re likely not to be worried about paying an extra fee for weight.
i dont get it.... why is the the tumi tracker on the inside of the suitecase? If you lose it, and its locked. whos gonna break it open? whos gonna know theres a tracker inside?
You’re totally right, I’m not sure how it works actually, don’t know if it’s RFID or something
Hey, after 2 years what’s the verdict on this bag? Are you still using it? How beat up does it look?
yup still using it and its holding up great. I love this case.
Do you have the continental or international? Can you pack a lot in?
I have the international and I'm able to easily pack a week's worth of cloths
How is it holding up? My Rimowa is doing well, but wondering about the normal dings / bumps and what they look like on this after a few years.
This case in particular is looking pretty good. Because of the design/lines the wear is less noticeable than on my Level8 case for instance. I’ve had it for 7 years at this point and the dents and scratches that it’s gained haven’t effected performance.
@@JoseTheRover wow! very cool, would love a follow up video showing the 'wear' or a picture (just for fun) as my Rimowa is looking tired.
@@IanB22 how long have you had your Rimowa?
@@JoseTheRover probably 25 legs and 3 years - but I have the plastic blue one...wheels are still amazing
How many days do you find you can pack with the international?
It depends on the type of trip and season. I find that I can easily pack enough cloths for a week.
Can you change the wheels, or are the wheels unchangable?
The wheels aren’t changeable
@@JoseTheRover Thanks! That helps a lot for me to make the decision!
Where is it made?
Papua new Guinea
You like this or sterling pacific?
You know they both have there strengths and weaknesses. What I like the most about the SP is that it opens like a trunk so that you don't need to lay the entire case out, you just open the lid. The Tumi has great wheels and moves around better.
What a weird naming convention. Why would the international be smaller. Longer international trips require a bigger suitcase
I think it's because a lot of regional carriers in Europe and Asia have smaller cabins that require small cases, so this will allow you to fit in most planes. Its about making sure you can get your case in the cabin and not check it in.
It eats up your weight limits on budget airlines
You know it’s really not much heavier than a standard carry-on
Is this the international one ?
yes this is the international
@@JoseTheRover thank you so much. I was looking at the Rimowa original cabin. But after reading on what most of if not all airlines in the us have as a requirement for size ... the Tumi international is the only one that actually fits that requirement!
Would you say this is a 2-3 day carry on ?
Easily 3 days. I usually take this one 1-2 week trips. Most recently I went to Japan for two weeks with just this and my backpack.
No one mentions the weight of this this bag, mostly airlines have weight limit which is just 7kg this carry on itself would weigh a lot which would defeat the purpose of this product
Yeah it does weigh more than a non metal case but I haven’t had a problem.
Think this will fit 7 days of clothes for a Trump to tje Dominican Republic? Figure at most, 7 shorts, 7 shirts, 7 underwear, 5 socks, toilet kit, then on the opposite side, laptop, snorkel goggles, sandals, and other small items?
Def think you can do that
I feel when people say the dents and dings give it character that it’s just a coping mechanism for buyers remorse of an expensive product that now looks like trash.
Not at all. We get it knowing full well it’ll be dented… it’s aluminum not titanium LOL. It’s like buying an off road car and saying “I like it when my car gets dirty”…. How’s that a cop out? It’s literally part of the process. Also I give links to some that aren’t so expensive so….

@@joshua1935 thank you, professor.
It looks like a cheap rimowa
If you’re blind…. Maybe
Rimowa wanna be
Rimova it self copied it’s design lol
Can’t even use Rimowa on United airlines so……..
hahaha TUMI takes the cake in every category compared to rimowa. rimowa copied their design with every other damn verticle line luggage in the world hahaha
