  • In Episode 120, Part 1 of 2, we tear down a tilt steering column for our 1956 Chevy Bel Air, removing the blinker switch, wiring harness, tilt mechanism, and all the other internals in a full disassembly. We find bad bearings that will need to be replaced, so we prep and paint the pretty parts so that they can be ready for reassembly when the new bearings come in. That'll be Part 2!

All of the bodywork is labor intensive and takes time, now this stuff is just detailed oriented and takes time. Guess we need a lot of TIME! LOL!

Don't recognize the column ... good thing you ripped into it ... not sure what primer you used but be careful if it's acid etch because your paint will scratch off easy if it's not ruffed up ... one step closer ...

This primer is compatible with the single stage that I've been using, but the Rust Oleum was TERRIBLE for exactly what you're saying!
