I like the added dialogue of the ghost host and Madame Leota keeps her rhymes as always.
I might not like the game as much now, but the soundtrack is beautiful.
One popular thing is missing from this game that the ride has: the Hatbox Ghost.

I don’t think Hatbox had been added back in yet when this game first came out, so it makes sense that he’s not in the game.
How about actually being able to ride the ride
The original was made before the 60th anniversary of Disneyland so this is why the Hatbox Ghost isn’t in it.

Corey Burton does a great Paul Frees impression, I’m having a hard time figuring out if it’s Corey or Paul speaking.
I could tell immediately it was Corey. I know Paul’s narration too well to notice how Corey’s is slightly different. But he still does an amazing impression.
This game will always be legendary, if only they made a Walt Disney World video game for PlayStation

Why does the Ghost Host sound like Yensid?
Probably because it is. Paul Frees, the original Ghost Host for the ride, died many decades ago so when Disney decided to update the narration when they started doing the Haunted Mansion Holiday layover, they got veteran voice actor Corey Burton to fill the role. Aside from the Ghost Host for Haunted Mansion related events, and Yen Sid from the Kingdom Hearts series, he's also been providing the voice of Captain Hook for some time now (like for the Peter Pan sequel and Disney Junior's Jake and the Neverland Pirates). The woman providing the voice of Madame Leota in game is Tress MacNeille, whom has been the voice of Daisy Duck since the 1980s. She's also provided voices of characters on The Simpsons (Lindsay Naegle, Crazy Cat Lady, Mrs. Skinner), and she was also the voice of Dot Warner on the popular cartoon Animaniacs from the 90s.
HollowedJes Susan Blakeslee voice Madame Leota in this game.
Leota sure displays a dark side with that evil laugh.

Can you do more than just collect. Points are coins in the game. Can you talk to everyone. Can you play on the rides. Can you eat the food
That looks so cool, where can I get this game
So many other ways this game could have been formatted so it's not so dull.
Like you enter the ghost chamber with the portraits, you fight off the ghosts as the Room stretches. The ghosts could have had different looks with different ways of scaring you rather than just floating around. The doors could of tried to eat you or the portraits could transform before they jump out. There could be floating Instruments in Madame Leota's Room that you have to fight off. You could go into the attic and the graveyard, Maybe take a ride on the ghost horse carriage. So much they could it done than just walking to a haunted house with a bunch of things floating over you.
_"Could have"_ being the key phrase here, but they *didn't* because Disney is too cheap and they'd rather just shit something out quick and slap a $60 price tag on it instead of putting in any effort to ensure the experience is fun.
Yeah... I get they probably wanted to remain faithful or so, but the advantages of making it a game means they have no limits to go crazy!
