Amanda I am originally from Glasgow and am now 80 yrs but I remember when I was a wee girl I would go with my mother to the local yarn shop and they would do the layaway yarn thing. Nobody in our neighborhood could afford to buy all the yarn at one time. My mother looked forward to the days when she could go in and get a ball or two to work on her project. Happy Birthday,
Oh, what a lovely memory to have of your mum ❤️ She would have been happy to get on with her knitting once she picked up some more balls of wool 🧶
Happy 50th Amanda. I hope you have a lovely weekend. You look very pretty in glasses, so please wear them every episode. Most of us suffer from anxiety to some degree. I'm sure you will be able to put practices in place that can help. Just remember that we all go back to old habits from time to time. Be kind to yourself. The 30 min habit for ends is a good one. Gradually, you'll see progress, which makes it worthwhile. I have stash anxiety and worry about being able to use it before I kick the bucket! I did some simple math, and I need to knit/crochet about 60 items each year for roughly 6 years to use it up. I'm in my 70s, so you can see why I get anxious😮 Take care, Amanda
Oh, that is a little of items to make! No wonder you are stressing about it.
I know a lady who keeps an up-to-date contact list for when she passes - that way her kids know who to contact to clear out the knitting/quilting/embroidery stuff. I thought that was a good idea as it saves the most of it being thrown into the bin x

Happy belated birthday! I have quilt fabric for 2 different quilts and a cross stitch birth information that I bought for my son and didn't use for him or the younger one.
So you are in the same boat as me with your intentions to make these baby items. Will you still make the quilts and cross stitch and gift to someone else ? 😊

I have some of your patterns just finished the old shale socks and have purchased the plain dk toe up and cuff down so I assume it is the texture that is being tested 🙂
Yes, it's to test I have the textured section correct on all the sizes.
