Is that an inline extractor, just picked one up but instructions says min 500mm ducting either side... For my shower that means it's at the wrong end of the shower - not the shower head end - which is over a 1600 tray

Isolator in the loft space? How come you didnt fit somewhere in the house outside the bathroom?

I've done the same with mine. Saves you making holes and running wires down. It will be wired into the light switch with a timer.. so the switch is isolation only.
