If you break down the form into individual techniques then you might see the function for each. I'm not a fan of forms either but it's unfair and ignorant to claim that something is not functional without looking at it more deeply
Not really a Hung Gar guy but some of the stuff within this form that i can recognize offhand. Tiger claw with parry, rising forearm strikes, side body strikes, arm grab/feint with low kick, block + uppercut, overhand forearm strike. These are all stuff that you can use and are practical
@@rayray6490Kung fu isnt even as much about kicks and punches, than most people think, its more about grappling, throws and jointlocks than anything thing else. The only way kung fu is different from shuai jiao (wich is the really first style of kung fu) is that you dont need to grap a jacket and you can be using "some" punches and "kicks".
can't get more traditional than this.. people getting together in a chinese health clinic and demonstrate their kung fu.
真難得!
一氣呵成打晒整套虎鹤無氣呵氣喘,證明呢位師傅功力之深厚!
鼓掌👏👏👏
Awesome movements
Great.
Great Technique! But this form doesn’t seem to follow Lam Sai Wing Linage and not even Tang Fong, anyone knows from what branch does it follows?
As far as I know he's a Choy Lay Fut practicioner from Hong Kong (Fong Yuk Shu lineage), but I don't know who he learned Hung Kuen from.
Yes, very nice technique ... it looks like a variant from the Toi San area of China which I learned.
Great performance!
邊位師傅?
打得超級好,
多謝表演
把
這套拳
留存於此👊
好,全套打齊…!
I hope he never has to use that. Better then most, but still not functional
"not functional"
Says every person who never has studied the art they talk about or just bandwagon's the mass mentality about Kungfu.
