I'm a Media Student at university and I love your videos, I like media because it has endless possibilities, it combines perfectly with curiosity and creativity. Social, psychological, critical thought and tech studies all in one. Couldn't be a better study field of you are madly curious about society and have artsy passions or hobbies, keep up the good work 😊
Thanks for posting: Your content has been supplementing curriculum in my Digital Media classes at the high school level. We especially loved your storyboarding walkthrough of the Jurassic Park scene. Quality!
I plan on going back to college this upcoming semester for spring. And when I was looking at the programs the college was offering media arts just really stood out to me. It peeks my interest a lot
@@tayy3035 I have been on summer holidays for a few days. I like media studies mostly because I find it easy due to my high English grades. Actually going to make a movie over Summer.
This is amazing I am looking for interesting english videos ( i am not native speaker ), and yours are so accurate and interesting ! Your content is really solid, you do not even need to make a setting up, you catch us with your writing and speaking skills ! keep it up :)
I want peruse a Masters in media studies, to gain a media production related skills what would be you suggetion on choosing course, and a schools to peruse as a International student and keeping on mind about the friendly budget.
I just found this channel on a random search and I very much enjoy your media studies video. I guess the question I have is what kind of job could I dive into having a media studies masters degree ?
Hey, I plan on studying A-Level media studies next year. Do you think I'll get on alright, having not studied media studies at GCSE. I love how the subject looks and I really want to study it.
I studied creative media: games with Mr Hunter for my A-levels and I had a great time without having any GCSE experience! It should be easy to pick up without prior education on the topic, the hardest part for me was getting to know some of the things I needed to use such as Adobe and Photoshop as I'd never used them before. Watching videos on the topics and programs you'll need to use/understand could be a good head start if you're new media and aren't sure if taking the subject is for you yet.
@@TheMediaInsider Hahaha Media Science is mostly offered in Asian countries as i know basically it's a university field with 2 or 3 majors in it and you have to choose one.. 1: Tv and Film Production 2: Advertising 3: Animation 4: Journalism etc my university offers (tv and film) and (Advertising). Media Science includes both theory and practical plus Industry experience based internships. And yeah it's a four years degree.. It's called media science because in some courses we have to make thesis and research regarding media Industry both mass media and film industry..
I'm kind of interested in studying media but has no enough knowledge what is it really.. Im wondering what natural skills ,personalities, hobbies should you have even before having real knowledge from school about media.. can anyone enlighten me??
Obviously I'd highly recommend it! I think the best thing about studying media is that it equips you with the skills necessary to navigate the garage of media we have thrown at us int he 21st century
@@TheMediaInsider do you have to be already creative or someone that is passionate about photography before taking it or those skills, like creativity and understanding or being able to interpret the visuals shown in music videos can be learned through studying? i only know about myself is that it really looks interesting and fun to study and it would be great to produce meaningful videos and/or be part of those people who make it..
Does media study includes music? Or It's more about film? I'm looking for a masters or phd program abroad that suits my interest. I'm very interested in the program Creative Industries. Are these two programs similar? My bachelor is in Computer science and MA in Vocal music. I like visual and performing arts. Any advice will be very much appreciated. 🙏
Hi, I'm a Communication Arts student. And I have this Thesis Research about Neocolonialism on Films. On our Data Gathering, we need to Identify the representation of Neocolonialism in the Films Through cinematography. we mentioned on our paper our films. Can you show us how? Because I really cannot Understand Bordwell, well. Lol.
Hey Mr. Hunter I am a student of media and journalism in the University of Delhi. Currently I am pursing my bachelor's here in India. For my Master's degree in the same field I plan to study abroad. Can you tell some insight about the media industry in your country and the media education and some good colleges that would be great for foreign students. I'll be highly thankful if you could tell about the jobs and career growth in media sector in your nation.
I understand you study media but what you really mean is you study movies or the CINEMA, right? I am a founder of an art movement and we study and pursue the idea of a New Cinema. It's based on a re-definition of the traditional cinema screen and is officially called DNS Cinema (or RefLEX Cinema.) It's not just theoretical work on narration - we actually have developed a new type/family of lens and believe this notion of a new cinema is hard. i.e. Real.
I am not a native English speaker. But,I'm able to say that I'm an intermediate according to some tests I've taken. (I'm 18 still. Living in Sri Lanka) So, is language a barrier? 🤔Or will I be able to learn English as the time passes? My ambition is to become a teacher of communication and media studies in UK. (I gave you quite a detailed comment hoping a good answer from you. Thank you.😊
Hi I’m a student heading to University soon I wanted to know if Cinema and Media was a field I should go to mostly in regards to the kinds of Jobs I could look into etc
Totally down to your area of interest but I would recommend considering whether you want to go down the analytical route or production route as there are loads of courses in both areas.
Does media studies require very high level of English? my friends who chose media studies told me this is a very English-based subject, I really want to take media studies as one of my A Level subject, but I only got a C for IGCSE English First Language, will it be very hard to do media studies if I don't have a very high level of English?
It's difficult because there is a lot of language involved in newspaper analysis, which has a fair bit of. However I would encourage you to take it regardless as there is far more to the course than just that.
I was in his class; he asked us to write a film review where we write as much terminology as we can possibly think of, then we submitted them on the first day. It was really helpful! :D
