I got a confirmation on this bar a couple of hours ago. I placed the order for the v3 last Friday and they upgraded me for free as well as compensation! Super hyped
Note from Kabuki regarding push pins on this bar I wanted to share: "My Operations Manager wanted to assure you that Mr. Duffin had reworked this feature when redesigning this specific bar so unless you rack backwards, the spring-pin should not cause an issue. Also, my shipping manager said if by chance the spring-pin does break (it’s made out of a durable plastic found in machine shops), they’re easily unscrewable and he will ship you a replacement one for no cost. " This may reassure some of you considering the version 4 Transformer bar. Please note I am brand new subscriber and this is my first Kabuki bar, I own Uesaka training and Iron Grip power bars.
Wow, nice job Kabuki on refining the T bar. My Crepinsek still going strong at 30+ years! Would love to win one of these though! Nice haircut too Coop!
I'd like one of these, I just worry about the price and build quality long term. My Kabuki stuff always seems to show wear and tear faster than some of my other equipment.

This evening I took my first workout with my Kabuki Transformer Barbell. A great barbell. I train inside a Sorinex Uber rack. I used Sorinex's narrow J-hooks. I had no problem with the black knob bumping the J-hooks. I had plenty of room between the outside of the rack the the black ball on the quick-release pin. Rogue racks are wide and thick. Slightly oversized compared to other equipment. That may have accounted for the black ball getting muffed up. Also, Sorinex offers what I refer to as old-school J-hooks. The hook is wider than the narrower up-dated version featured by Sorinex. I love your reviews, Coop.
Thanks Coop! Would love to test all the combinations of angles... fundamental counting principal says there's 6*4, so 24 different options! Basically, a 24-in-1 bar!

But hey, it's a Pandemic. It's not like anything is going according to plan, so you gotta be understanding about these things. And YES they are giving us the upgraded version PLUS $50 back because the price went down $50. Looking forward to getting it.
I was actually willing able to stomach the $629.99 price. $231.75 for shipping, however, is completely ridiculous and makes this nearly $900. Just ridiculous.
@Dave&Holly Yep they redesigned the bar so that it can be broken down making it less expensive to ship. I just got one and shipping is $86. I also got another 15% ($100) off by being part of Kabuki's Online Coaching program...which is amazing. If you sign up please tell them i sent you. (or COOP) :)

The Titan SS bar hits TWO positions which mimics a front squat and a back squat. This is achieved by turning the bar 180 degrees. When the “Titan” lettering is aimed toward the back, it’s a posteriorly biased squat. When the “Titan” lettering is aimed toward the front, it’s a quad biased squat.

Even Chris had a touch of trouble when demoing the previous version in his bar video at SuperTraining Gym. Awesome changes. It'd be great if I won the giveaway... lol
i mean, if you see the price (650 as coop says) is a little too much, BUT, having that item will provide you like 1 in 6 items, *plus* all the difficulty variations *x3 times smore!*; for those of you who are not good at math: it is a *1 in 18* item, so it is kinda worthy, it is like if you guys buy 6 bars at a $100 each one.

Hey Coop! Don’t you think if Kabuki would provide sleeves options like instead of the standard 15.75” sleeve, if they provide other sleeve order options like 10”, 9” and 8” - then smaller home gym owners can choose shorter sleeves options. What do you think?
Coop, it looks like the pins may be removable, and perhaps replaceable with a simple wrench. If so, this would be a great selling point for the new product. Can you confirm?
Been waiting 9 months for my TF bar. They said there was a 6 month delay when I ordered it which I excepted. Kabuki hasn’t bothered returning my calls.
Is there a coffee pin or anything to keep the sleeves in place? That mechanism is very cool but having the collar fall off under load scares the shit out of me.

I ordered the previous version of the bar and the upgraded automatically. Also, the new bar is about $50 cheaper so I received a credit. Worth the money since it will be used every week for some kind of squat!
As an owner of a version 3.0 I came here ready to disagree with you, but you made valid points about functionality. They also made the sides flush so your plates will set better on the sleeve unlike previous generations where the adjustment screw head got in the way. I love my transformer bar, but I concede that this is a far superior design.
v3 owner here. v4 is an improvement, but the Zinc finish makes me think CAP bar. I'm hoping they eventually offer other finishes - black zinc, nickel, cerakote?
The real question is how long until the V5 comes out with the obvious improvement of the adjustment pin on the outside to you don't have to worry about it hitting the rack ?
Matthew, I don't think the pins can go on the outside as they will interfere with the plates. Coop, I believe Matthew raises a valid point. This version of the Transformer seems to me like it will not work well with BIG racks.
After watching Coop's great video the third time I convinced the pop pin cannot be smashed against a power rack. In all 6 position's the pin trails the bar and is completely protected
@@davidbuche I'm reasonably sure that you are right about it not hitting as you rack or unrack it which is when it will be subject to the most force but with my experience with SSBs they do tend to swing a lot through normal use. As far as it hitting the plates that could be easily solved with a spring lever setup which would actually be more convenient. I'm sure that it is still a quality product and you will be happy with it.
I bought the previous version and I’m pretty satisfied apart from the corrosion issue. Now I’ll just skip this and wait for the new Prime fitness USA squat bar from Coach Kav!

I'm sure that it is still a quality product and you will be happy with it.
... in stock?...what's the delivery time?
I bought the previous version and I’m pretty satisfied apart from the corrosion issue. Now I’ll just skip this and wait for the new Prime fitness USA squat bar
from Coach Kav!
So. It's a very expensive bar that corrodes. That's a big failure.
What happens if you use this bar for banded good mornings? Are those sleeves gonna twist and fall off?
Duffin is a genius!
What is the best storage solution for that barbell?
Coop, which would you recommend first: the Marrs bar or this bar?
This, by far. I really like the Marrs-Bar, but this is much more versatile, cheaper, and better. I didn't love the preview versions, this is something else entirely.
@@GarageGymReviews Thank you so much for the advice. God bless Coop!
Marrs bar is like a speciality bar of speciality bars
@@xavierstephens7817 yeah this can replicate a low bar squat too right? Like it'll still rest on your traps, but with the camber back and the length out the longest, the center of mass would still be the same as low bar so you could safely replicate that form. Someone correct me if I'm retarded
If cost were no object would you take the Marrs bar over this?
I want one. How do I win it?
