Great video! Thank you. I liked how you incorporated so many texture techniques and drawing hints into it. I love to make cards and people really like receiving them. I often send several ones at a time with bookmarks. They make great practice pieces. My favorite in this video was the lighthouse. Other subjects I would like to see: birds, tropical fish, coral reefs.
This is one of the best, best tutorials you've done in ages. And it's not as if there's anything wrong with the others. But these are super achievable to bang out, even after the longest day at work. They're easily expandable to do on a larger canvas. As someone who struggles to still have life in me for painting after a long day, these absolutely hit the spot. Feel free to do these on any subject any time! Maybe we could do one on cats...🤣
Thank you for the tips about glue and deckle edging. Also so many reminders from previous videos - that's especially good when I don't do many landscapes.
Loved these minis! I would certainly appreciate seeing more, of any subject. Sometimes mood or time constraints sway me against starting or continuing on a larger project, and these would very easily allow for a water control and technique practice that can be completed in one short go! 👍👍
After telling myself I couldn't do these, I did them and had so much fun instead of fright of not being able to!!! Loved them and will post in your thread on FB.
We did exactly the same when we moved to Lowestoft 20 odd years ago! Often hear it mispronounced but if you were not aware who would guess that Happisburgh is pronounced ‘haysborough’!
These are fantastic ideas for practice and cards, Michele! Yes please, some more minis would be great- florals, beach scenes, buildings etc? They are a great reminder of basic techniques and a low-stress way to practice them!
Loved the video ❤ so many teaching points rolled into one. I’ll definitely be having a go. And what a great way to try landscapes without feeling daunted. The use of a limited palette of colours, so useful for beginners! Yes flower cards would be great 😊
Great tutorial! I am a bloody beginner and appreciate every video with easy paint alongs. I also practice different techniques but actual painting something is so much better 😊
Great variety of simple miniature landscapes. I definitely enjoyed the textures of rocks 🪨 with the lighthouse. Lots of great tips & love how to make your own cards!
I have just found you this morning, and i love your work! Love the 1st and the third pics best, but all are fabulous. Definitely going to tey them, even the lighthouse! Thank you xx
Great learning I the video, techniques packed into each small painting. A great size to practise techniques and maybe some little cards as an outcome. Thank you!
Love your ideas. I recently did 2 gift envelopes on card stock. Forced me to try and have each brush stroke right the first time. They were well received a looked like more thought was used.
I'm just coming across your channel and I'm so happy I did. Your videos are very informative and just what I needed. Thank you very much for making these types of videos. New Sub here
Michelle, will you point me in the right direction- do you have a video teaching about how to mix various skin colors? I will be illustrating child characters and haven't gotten that trick down yet. Thanks in advance!
This tutorial is exactly the kind of thing I was hoping you might do and, yes, some card sized florals would be great! Thanks so much!
Please do more of these small paintings. Love your work
I loved this video. Very nice ideas for cards. Please do more of these: florals, beach scenes, animals, window boxes, etc. Thank you.

Thanks in advance!
Yes, I can't place links here but the title is Watercolor Mixing (Make ANY Skin Tone!) pop my name and the title in the search bar :-)
@In the Studio with Michele Webber Thankyou!
Fun.
👏🏼👏🏼💜
Great video, as usual. Can I just ask, are you using water soluble Aquarelle pencils to draw the base outlines?
No I used a standard graphite pencil :)
If I use glazing in every painting of mine...does that mean I'm not sure of mixing exact hues?
Not necessarily, even the best artists need to adjust things!
Do you use hair dryer please?
No I don't use hairdryers on my paintings :)
