I've had it since 1973 as a video, then eventually transferred to CD, and just put it on my PC that still has a CD drive so I could edit the individual dances and post
@@SharonLowen1 I'll write to her because she never responded. There doesn't seem to be a Foundation or anyone continuing her work and I googled and only found a lady working at a university that is in charge of Doris Humphreys legacy if that's even it.
this was a reconstruction by the U of Mich dance dept done with strict permission and supervision from the Dance Notation Bureau using Labanotation with a visiting expert. I made this video as part of my video production class (taken in prep for heading to India the following year) so this video is of the alternate cast to the one I was in. by the way, video was on open reel then and separate tape recorder for audio. before cassettes for VHS or Beta, etc
@@SharonLowen1 no problem and thank you for the explanation. Should I contact University of Michigan if they have anyone related or part of Doris Humphreys legacy I could work with or you?
I'm doing a video presentation for MOVE 2023 - International World Dance Day Online Festival. I am trying to create a video about Doris Humphrey under 'Legacy'.
@@SharonLowen1 Hi Sharon, well I do not know how to download from UA-cam and we've just done Isadora Duncan which will premiere on 29 April. However, I got people to speak about the historical dance figure or to show archival footages like this including images and some of the lineage dancers are presenting all the original dance works. So if I were to do a video presentation on Doris Humphrey I would need full permission and knowledge of all parties to use and show film, images on Doris Humphrey with full credits. Would you know anyone from Doris Humphrey including yourself that would be able to be apart of this video presentation on Doris Humphrey's Legacy? Best, Michelle
How did you get this video? I wrote to them and the lady in the university never replied.
