Thanks Doug when I create videos like this I'm trying to give viewers what I would want hence to know more about the area & neighborhoods and driving tours are great for this.
That was a fun ride along. I lived in Cherry Grove in the late 90's and I loved it there. I worked at Boulineaus during their expansion. I also worked at Santa Fe station for D.J. Karavan. It was a bunch of train cars made into a restaurant with a very large and clean kitchen that specialized in prime rib, hand cut steaks, fresh seafood, and appetizers. One side was more like a formal dining area and the other was a sports bar music lounge with a huge copper and brass bar and a patio overlooking the marina. We put out really good food too. The best cooks I ever worked with taught me the trade there. That was also one of the hottest restaurants on the east coast at one time. Party central. I remember conga lines going through the kitchen! Looking back my times there in NMB were some of the best of my life! Thanks for sharing the video!
I remember Santa Fe, yes an awesome restaurant. Thanks for sharing, fun getting nostalgic. I have lots of fond memories from the 90s, favorite place to dance Crazy Zacks of course
Will be spending the entire month of October in NMB at Mar Vista Grande. Love this area. This will be our 9th consecutive year. So looking forward to it! Have never visited the point. How do you get out there?
Great, I LOVE the Mar Vista it is a beautiful oceanfront resort, and October's weather is so nice!! . To get to the Point it is simple, get on Ocean blvd and go down to Cherry Grove all the way to the end and then you park to the side of the street, walk out and you will see a path follow that and it'll bring you to the beach and dunes. You will enjoy it there. Have the best vacation, keep viewing, thanks Tara
