Hameed... YOU ARE BRILLIANT!!! I spent lots of time of the phone with the KitchenAid help desk who offered 2 solutions: Unplug it for a minute and then turn it back on. (which did not work)...OR call for service. I preferred trying your method ...WHICH WORKED PERFECTLY!!! Thanks !!!
After 14 years running without a problem my dishwasher did this last night, the reset got it running again, time will tell if the issue keeps happening. Thanks for posting this, it is helpful. Update: After the dishwasher completed it's cycle it was ready for another with no flashing error code, thanks so much for posting the solution.
Hameed, you're a genius!! Thank you very much. My repair team is so behind that they suggested I go to UA-cam to reset the dishwasher before I wait a few weeks for service. I think you just fixed my problem. BTW, WHAT IS the life of this style Kitchenaid dishwasher? Thank you!!
You mentioned ability to run diagnostics. I am troubleshooting this same model dishwasher. How do you run diagnostics on this model? Thank you in advance.
If you press high temp heated dry 6 times and go by pressing them like 1-2 1-2 1-2 it would take you there , also take the bottom kick plate off tech sheet is located at the back of that kick plate , usually it’s in a plastic bag .
I have the same dishwasher I believe. My "start" button won't start or light up. All other buttonsigbt up and work. If I press a normal cycle then "heat dry" light comes on and stays. I've tried this reset and it won't work. I've shut off breakers and unplugged. Any other tips? Something got logged under the heat ring and it melted. Could that be it?
No heater would not affect the function of the button , turn off the power check for loose connection under the panel , you need to open it apart if you feel safe and comfortable, if you didn’t find loose connection you need a display board .
@@hameedwafaAFG I’ll try and figure out how to open it up. The door latch/lock it find. It literally just the start button. It presses down and clicks but no light and then doesn’t start. . All other buttons work
Dear Hameed, I have the exact model, the start button won’t respond just doesn’t want to start (no light on either), all other buttons are works (light on), what I should do, hope you still check your youtube video, so I can get answer, thank you.
Hello , if the start button is not working you can always use a hair dryer in there for couple of minutes while the dishwasher is completely turned off , hopefully it would make a difference otherwise you may need the overlay which is the touchpad assembly✌️
Hi Hameed, I tried resetting but the Clean button on my Kitchenaid dishwasher, kept flashing and beeping. I noticed it flashes 7 times then pauses and flashes 2 times more, until it repeats the whole things again. Its a pretty new oneless than 2 years and suddenly stopped functioning. Please guide
My lights alll came on and were blinking. I turned the breaker off/on for 1 minute. That didn't work. Somehow now, Heavy Duty light is a solid dim blue, the Heavy Wash and Light China are flashing and the Cancel is flashing. I tried what you recommended in this video, nothing happened. HELPPPPPP!!! :)

@@hameedwafaAFG yes, but upon further inspection opening the front shield, i noticed a non-stop clicking sound from the control board even after I disconnect the button panel from the board panel. The dishwasher stop working right after we start the cycle before the detergent drops. So I’m thinking if there is short circuit somewhere. Is it the control board then that need to be replaced? This is only a temporary fix. It will do this again if you don't fix the problem.
How can I reset clean cycle???
I have 7 flashes then 2 flashes. I just bought the thing from Best Buy 2 hrs ago and can't get any help from them
thanx
You are very welcome!
my kitchenaid dishwasher clean button blinks 8 times pause then blinks 4 more times then pause and the sequence repeats
Tech sheet is under the kick plate , it would tell you exactly what causes it .
Make sure your waterline is not frozen , or turned off , f8e4 means water problems
Also double check your float switch
Mine is making a loud grinding noise, but still cleans! Any ideas why? Thx
Probably your wash motor if spray arms are clean .
