Pork Blood Curds Soup is one of the popular Thai breakfast, It always sell along in Jok shop. We also eat grilled chicken skewers, fried chicken with sticky rice, Thai omelets topped with rice, Khao Gaeng, Hot Soy Milk with Pa Tong Go, Kanom Krok(Thai Rice Coconut Pancakes), Rice Soup.
Moo ping is hands down my favourite thing to eat. It's like crack to me. I can't walk past somewhere without grabbing one. Last time I was in BKK I reckon I had like 7-8 a day just by walking past places
other Thai menus that are top hit for breakfast - Pig's jelly soup with rice ( Tom Luad Mu ) - Patongko with hot drink - Sticky rice with some fried meat (pork , chicken)
I always got talked out of trying rice porridge by my man and it is now my absolute PLAN to finally try it in 2 weeks. Along with my first rad na. Cannot wait 😍
If you would like to go for some original ancient Thai breakfast, I suggest you to try 'Khao Neow Hua Ngorg : ข้าวเหนียวหัวหงอก'. It's the cooked sticky rice topped with shreded coconut & salt, and eat it with some sun-dried fish (Plaa Haeng : ปลาแห้ง) or salted fish (Plaa Kem). This recipe can be traced back to Ayutthaya period. Another one is a dish called 'Khao Krayakoo : ข้าวกระยาคู'. It's the squeezed ground young rice grains and ground young rice stems cooked with pandan juice and a bit of flour to thicken it up. Then, top with coconut cream and shreded coconut. This recipe can be traced back more than 2,500 years ago (For the original recipe). *** These 2 recipes are quite difficult to find nowadays. Maybe because of the taste. They're not that tasty compared to other modern Thai dishes.
@@soultaliban Well, even they're the recipes since the ancient times, there are still some stores or restaurants selling them. No need for 'Time Machine', just use 'Google' to search and find the locations.
This unlocked my old memories. Before going to school, I would get up early enough so I have enough time to sit down at a Jok shop and enjoy this delicious jok along with pa tong go (fried donut). However, whenever I was running late, I would eat moo ping while walking to school lol. Thanks for the vid bro.
Not seen your videos in awhile Gary and your Thai seems to have come along way 👏 Some fantastic breakfast choices right there! A favourite of mine at home in Buriram maybe once a week is Som Tam Thai, Gai Yang & Kao Niew
Reminds me of my first morning in Bangkok back in '69 when I walked the streets as the sun came up, watched the women sweeping in front of their homes and shops, walked through the markets, smelled all the cooking but of course didn't really know what or where to eat. Thanks, Gary. Now I watched to the end, but I really liked the Kau Mun Gai and the rice porridge and egg at the first place. That would set me up for the day easily.
I've been travelling to LOS for about 16 years now, been with my Mrs for 13, married for 11 years, I eat Thai food every day here in the UK, but breakfast has to European of some Description.
I'm Thai. Like you have said at the beginning of this video...Thai people eat just about anything for breakfast. On that note, it's a matter of preference for EACH individual Thai on breakfast choice. Every day is different. Nothing is set in stone on what to eat for breakfast in Thailand.
Omg I cracked up when I saw you put chili powder and fresh chilis in your Joke! That’s how I eat it too!!!😂 I put all condiments and sauces and just mix it all up! It’s the best!!!😋😋😋
What I don't understand about the Moo Ping - they gill it over charcoal and then cut off the little charred bits. Those little charred bits are the best thing about charcoal cooking.
🙏🙏🙏 Khun Gary 🙏 We Thai people can eat all kinds of breakfast. Thai people do not specify that breakfast must eat this type of food🤗 What is there to eat? Every meal is therefore no different. 🙂Thai people eat all the time, from breakfast until late at night.. แต่ที่นิยมซื้อกินช่วงเช้าคือ ข้าวเหนียว + ของปิ้ง ย่าง ฯลฯ
NEW CAMERA IS GREAT! Please more Moo Ping. You didn't finish your Jok. Was it not as good as others you've had? Broiled, grilled, fried looked awesome. I'm thinking the best pieces were the fried chicken.
These breakfast seem to be a chinese style selling along street during rush time in the morning. Actualy, mainly the real Thai eat fresh or boiled vegetable with chilli sauce and fish at home but if we go out to work then we need more heavier food, so we like to eat curry, fried vegetable, fried fish or egg. Just simple in a limited time to eat before working. The grilled pork we eat for sometime and nowadays doctors say it cause cancer. Anyway, I am your fan and love seeing you exploring my country.😍😍😍😙😙
Id be interested to know what the cholesterol rate and blood sugar is in most Thai people. I enjoy Thai food but there are many ingredients that are not good for people with high cholesterol and high blood sugar.
Thanks, Gary! I thought for sure it had to be some sort of mirrorless. The color and picture quality is impressive. Keep up the solid work! I always look forward to your videos for new places to try whenever I come back to the land of smiles!
Hiya Gary. Porkie goodness. 😁They do look so tasty. The audio and picture are perfect. I don't know about the second one. But the third looked delicious. Happy Wednesday.
Also liking the the camera and audio. Also liking the editing at the start with the multiple pics of info splitting the screen and sliding around. Very cool. What is the camera. Is it a pocket osmo 3
I don’t eat desserts at all really, I’ve probably eaten them twice in my whole life. I don’t pretend to be an expert at all but thanks, I know for next time
another one is Nam tao hoo and pa tong ko for who would like to have breakfast. By the way, recently in some of you video. I notice that you spend few second thinking of English word but you just say Thai word.

I like to see your Thai food cooking. Start from shopping the ingredients from the fresh market till become great dish.
Or take something like the pink book, Thai Food by David Thompson, and going through it major dish by major dish.

Video quality is very good clear and vibrant .
Thank you 🙏
Crispy noodles should be put on top of the congee 😋. The quality of the video is perfect, the pictures and sounds are super clear 👍👍👍.
their pork skewers in thailand are always bangin'! always a hit whenever im craving a quick bite to go

Thank you! I just got thrown off when she gave it to me with thaw Khanom tan in a bag 😂
Wowww the rice porridge looks yummy❤ Not to mention the 3 different chicken with rice:) Thanks for sharing this video with us Gary😊
I love every menu that you ate in this VDO clip.
The camera is a winner brother love your work ...Thank you. Cheers Winston.
My mrs is a big fan of either muu ping kab khao niaow, or naem muu kab khao nieow. Occasionally jok, and sometimes bread / croissants!
Can’t go wrong with any of them!
Loving the new camera, visual is solid and sounds ok. Breakfast is always a winner.

I myself prefer congee with just light soy sauce and white pepper. It’s just light, smooth, and savory which is just perfect for breakfast!
What I don't understand about the Moo Ping - they gill it over charcoal and then cut off the little charred bits. Those little charred bits are the best thing about charcoal cooking.

Boiled chicken with brown sauce , fried chicken with sweet sauce😊
The audio and visual is fine Gary!
But the khao mun kai segment the street noise is louder than your voice
I forgot to switch the audio for that part 😭
@@theroamingcook which new camera are you using?
Mate, whenever I see you putting chilli vinegar on your food, I always think of my old dad putting chilli vinegar on his pie and mash! 😄

Awesome day out Gary, I have to try those when I get there

Thai people eat porridge with only fish sauce. As for the chili paste and chili powder, they are put in the noodles soup.
White soy sauce also pretty common.
Nice video. The camera and sound were great. I wouldn't notice a difference if I didn't know.
Amazing video❤ New subscriber.
Thanks for subbing! ❤️🇹🇭🙏🇹🇭
Can you please do a wokabout in the Bang Khen area, near new Lumpini Stadium..much appreciated

Yes, these 3 dished are most popular Thai breakfast.
That rice soup looks so good! I can eat two of those bowls
new camera is better - keep up the good work
The best part of Moo Ping is in fact the leftover marinade, a.k.a. sticky rice's significant other 😂
Many Thai foods are in the top 10 and top 50. This guarantees that Thai food is delicious
For sure!
