    Just got mines. I always buy a tool after watching your reviews. I notice it’s a lot stiffer and lever locks works great. Feels a lot more longer may be because I’m familiar with my primate. My tip isn’t replaceable tho. Gonna save some $ and try out ultimate pole later. Can’t wait for more tools to innovate. Especially more compact power vacuums like the bottom feeder.

    If the primate pole keeps disappearing from my truck I may go with these if cheaper.

    Are the lever locks able to be replaced? Looks like it can break easy?

      They are replaceable and don't break easily.

    What's the 23ft pole weigh? Great video by the way too, covered everything but weight, which i get it, I'm kinda picky to ask actual weight. Guessing so light it's almost an irrelevant question.

    Got rhis AMAZING pole 3 weeks ago. Bought the display model at PEP in Mo.Val. Only thing I think should be improved is the locking lever. Gotta screw it down at least twice a day. Definitely worth the money!

      Yes, it is a pretty solid pole. Very light and I did notice the levers need a little work.

      To bad there not a knob on the end to twist tight.
      Are you enjoying the pole? Thinking of getting one. Thank you.

    Who’s locking lever mechanism do you prefer or feel is better quality. Primate or this skimlite. Thanks in advance.

      Primate is still superior but if I know Skimlite they will keep working at theirs. Primate has a good head start.

    David, you’ve used um all! Primate, Skimlite or Hyperpole? ..or other? What is the best and longest lasting pole of budget isn’t an issue? I will use long commercial option with riptide so I need durability. Primate seems to flex a ton on longer options. Thanks David!

      @@SPL so you rank skimlite #1 ahead of primate and Hyperpole?

    Excellent poles, no doubt! I do like that carbon fiber is light and better on the hands with cold water.
    But not for me. There's no way I can justify the price.
    I prefer the cam lock, and maybe lucky, but I have yet to snap an aluminum pole in 25 years.
    Now that I've said that, it'll probably happen later this week!! LOL!

    Get a sliver of aluminum in your hand sometime, that will convert you to Carbon fiber. I used to have a Carbon fiber Skimlite, but it didnt have the cam lock, I didnt like that much. Now I have the Ultimate Pool Tools 3x17 Hyperpole, with the lever locks. Best one by far. Not as light as the skimlite, but has a polished finish that feels much better on the hands.

    • @Poolknot

      We started getting slivers from the carbon fiber poles (2 or 3 years) old.

    Do all of these CF poles only come with the lever lock design? I never bought into the hype of these carbon fiber poles. I absolutely hate the Lever Lock. My friend gave me a Primate CF pole when they first came out and I only used it once and never again, it sits in my garage lol. I prefer my good ole Skimlite 3006 Eliptilock 3 in 1, inner cam only poles. They last forever, I have 6 of them. My oldest is over 10 years old and still works and I use it on my own pool.
    Inner Cam Eliptilock allows you to change pole lengths on the fly without stopping, with the flick of your wrist, which I prefer.

    • @SPL
      @SPL  Рік тому +1

      The problem with the twist cam lock design is that it strips the carbon fiber tube. Hence Skimlite went with the lever lock design. It is slower that the pole you like and I also like the twist lock poles.

    • @FixItWithMe
      @FixItWithMe 8 місяців тому

      What’s the difference between the inner cam and outer cam? U have to twist something to lock the inner cam? I thought the eleptilok’s inner pole is shaped differently, so if u turn the pole either way it automatically locks? Didn’t know u then need to use a second inner cam to lock it? Sorry I’m confused and I’m looking into getting a Skimlite pole for the first time! Thanks!

    • @speedracerjeff
      @speedracerjeff 8 місяців тому

      @@FixItWithMe maybe I’m saying it the wrong way, yes with the Skimlite Eliptilock 3006 poles there’s no outer twist lock, just an inside cam that locks and unlocks as you twist the pole itself. My favorite design as it’s fast.

  • @capturedmoments5024
