Aha! I'm glad to hear you suggest that flgl mpce trick. That is in fact, one of the reasons I bought a second 1SB flugl mpce. I either do the tape trick or use a cornet to trumpet adapter and pull the slide in a bit. I thought I was cheating. Thanks for the Broiles reference, too. LOTS of guys use the flugelhorn horn mouthpiece as a last resort. I would not advise practicing with it! Keep in touch, Ralph
