I do believe that software can not always be free. A purchase helps the Developers for their hard work. A set amount still makes one feel good about the support. Also the Zorin Pro downloaded on a USB stick is a much faster install then say installing each app one by one. Besides the funds they receive, it's a nice boost to know someone appreciates your work enough to want to make that purchase .
It is easy to use - from my 12 year old del laptop to my new Lenovo Think Pad and four other PCs besides - totally worth it. Running Weyland KDE desktop on all.
It has plenty of os updates that need to be installed first. You can update via terminal or in the setting>about>zorin update. Also don't be surprised if the updates run in background without your knowledge.
I regard it as a donation in support of the team who enabled me to dump all that MegaShit stuff from six computers. Why bludge on those dedicated people?
@@TheLinuxRealm tried cinamon but im not using it daily as i couldnt fix graphical bugs, framerate of mouse pointer would change depending on what im hovering above. also did not get youtube fullscreen to work at proper framerate, its normal but once i fullscreen it it drops to 15fps
@@Boz1211111 Sounds like you have a freesync monitor. I experience this same problem till I realized somehow freesync was turned on in the monitor and I disabled it and it all went back to normal. People have reported some problems with Gsync also turned on in there monitors.

I dual boot on my main desktop and have been using Zorin for over 2 years. I love it. Its also on my Mac Pro.
Wow, that is decent amount of time spent on one distro. Distro hoping is not your thing.
@@TheLinuxRealm Oh I still distro hop...lol just not on my main systems. I have a laptop I use for that.

You installed KDE on Zorin and removed Gnome?
I would love to see that Zorin with KDE (not my favorite DE tho).
I installed it on my 5625U compuer, but the software center has nothing in it. I don't know why.

@@TheLinuxRealm I did that.but still the software center crashes everytime I open it. I'm now using pop os instead. It works perfectly on my PC.
Well, I didn't like their software center either but couldn't leave. Pop OS is a good choice.
you're using the pro or free?
try reinstalling?
is zorin os a secure linux? respect the user's privacy. did the corporation create it?
Yeah Zorin is secure. Talking about private, so far so good no issues. Far better than window or Mac os.
It just doesn't seem worth it. Its bad idea to pay money for bunch of preinstalled FREE software

Agreed. Love Zorin. Glad to support them.
@@bonner92220 but do u REALLY need all this preinstalled software? They could have come up with other ways to donate
Ive supported then myself. Seems a win win situation.
Nice video.
Do you know if LTE is supported? I have a surface pro 5 which LTE-enabled.
I've never tried it so, I wouldn,t know. Just google and see if anyone has tried it.
Well thanks for your video. You sold me out on the idea of Linux.
That's unfortunate. Wasn't my intention tho.
There is no any Linux distro that can be a daily driver.
I say some weird stuff sometimes, but you get the point.
Better core version
i tried zorin core live boot and everything is so oversimplified visually i really didnt like it. mint way better
Okay. And what desktop environment do you currently have on mint?
