  • This is my review of my first custom/handmade knife, the OFF FK7 by Hiroaki Ohta from Tokyo, Japan.
    Mr. Ohta's Website: homepage2.nifty.com/ohtaknives/
    Instagram Account: / 7redi_knife_reviews
The OFF FK7 is a higonokami style friction folder design with a beautiful one piece Sakura / Japanese cherry wood handle and a high quality D2 blade with a two tone finish.
The FK7 also comes with a nice quality handmade black leather carrying sheath to keep your wood handle form getting scratched.
In conclusion a really great friction folder that comes at a very reasonable price (65-90$) for a full custom/ handmade knife.
If you like the style, I would highly recommend it!
    Specs:
    Overall: 17cm / 6 6/8"
Handle: 10cm / 4" of one piece of Sakura wood
    Blade: 7cm / 2 6/8" of D2 Steel
    Lock: Friction folder tang
    Sheath: Black Leather

Love It! Bought as a gift and it's perfect. Anyone can instantly feel the hand made quality. Might have to get another for myself....in a while.

nice knife, the shape of the folder its inspired by old Kogatana long handle style, one surprise is that the steel used is not aogami or other japanese steels.

It really is something different, I really like it and think its a great value.
I also like the D2 steel on it but it is a little surprise its not a Japanese steel.
Although Mr. Ohta also does knives in VG10 and other steels...

    Moin,

      LG
