Love how much of the layout is left open space for scenery. Well done.

Hello Paul, it is an amazing layout and very well-detailed for a large layout. Thanks, Karl and Debbie

The shear expanse of scenery, in a relatively small footprint, makes this one of the more impressive layouts I've seen in quite awhile. It's almost what the English countryside demands, isn't it? This is a great layout no matter what side of the pond you're on. The level of detailed scenes are simply amazing. I'd love to see this IRL.

Hello David, Thank you for the comment, and like you say this is one of a few layouts where it looks like the railway was added later and had to work with the existing scenery. Thanks again, Karl and Debbie.

Linkfiels looks like quite a busy station. I love the scenery, and the accuracy of the time period it depicts.

Hello Alan, yes it's a nice layout, not too much track, make it look more natural. We keep meaning to go back to take another look, thanks Karl and Debbie.

Hi, thats a really great layout, I visited it once too, it's quite local to me. Your description didn't really do it justice in that you didn't mention the signalling and track circuits which is why the trains are radio controlled and require battery packs in the coaches and wagons. There is no track power for the trains because it's used for the signalling. Nice to see the layout though, great stuff, all the best Dave.

Hello, To add to the WOW factor all the locos and rolling stock are built from kits! Thanks Karl and Debbie

  • @theeventhorizon-valebridge9512

Wow, breathtaking, sublime! My dream scene, although I'd have gone modern image locomotives to do it justice. Remember, steam trains can run on modern lines too but electric/diesel locos can't run on a a scene from a 100 odd years back!

Enormous and terrific layout with incredible detailing. Live tge station canopy, bridges.
Did you fabricate the roof trusses it were they 3d printed?
The scene across the rooftops is very realistic looking- great job. Thanks for sharing

Hello Charlie, it is an amazing layout :). The layout is old so I'm guessing everything pre-dates 3D printing.

I agree - It helps that David Clarke was an Ferrari driver in the 1950s and (I think) owned an official Ferrari dealership :)
