Hi guys, we're using PowerPlay as a sort of offseason training and I had two questions about your build. 1. The chains on the middle part of the arm. How long? 2. How does the claw stay parallel?? Thanks Liberty Robotics 23891
We are using the same design for our robot, but our cycle time is slow. So I would like to ask how can we make it faster. Also can you make a video about your claw please.
Dang thats cool! Really impressive for 30 hours. Quick question, what motors are you using for the arms? (RPM) And also is it just one motor powering each segment of the arm?

How did you managed to hold the arm up without using the motors

Super cool! How does the claw mechanism work? I didn't see any gears, but only one servo motor?
The motors that control the arm aren’t actually on the moving part of the arm they control the arm through chains and gears
It's called a virtual four-bar linkage by using the chains
Great build! Would you be willing to share your claw design?
Sorry we don’t have a cad model of it.

Both segments have one 19.2:1 motor with a 6:1 gear ratio. We were only running them at 0.5 power.
@@ftcgearheads Oh wow! Thank you so much!
how did you get the chain linkage system to pull up the last layer without continuing to rotate the middle layer?
Did you guys happen to CAD the claw?
We just built if from available parts
What's the theme ?
Power Play
@@ftcgearheads got it, thanks!
