As a new Christian I've lost all desire for secular music. I didn't even pray for that. It just happened and I praise God✝️ for that freedom 👑

I don’t watch tv, movies and don’t listen to music!! I have pastors and everything about Jesus on UA-cam! I go to church 3 times a week and Bible study 2 times a week. I would go to church every day if they started doing that!

I have been and am praying for prayer partners. In doing so, the enemy sends his “praying” entities so I am very insistent (particular) about who I partner up with. It is critical that you partner up with God-fearing, “saved” one who fears GOD and is in daily conversation with GOD. I don’t want a superficial “praying partner”, but those who are serious about being in the Holy Spirit.

When I was a teen i remember the old preachers would speak against secular music and Hollywood. I always thought it was legalistic, but now being almost 50 years old I absolutely see what they were talking about. I’m not saying I don’t watch or listen to “secular” music but discernment is something to pray for.

@@peachypie5477 I just have a plan note book. I start with a prayer. Then I write a prayer and ask whatever is on my mind. I write out asking the Holy Spirit to speak whatever He wants me to hear. I’m still and in waiting to hear from him I praise him. Then he begins saying whatever he needs to. You’ll know it’s him - there is a difference in your thoughts and his and his writing and yours. Just try it. I hope this helps.

I noticed when i used to listening to secular music it was affecting me in my mood, it was leading me to do things i didn't want to do or things i wasn't doing anymore and even worse i was constantly attack in my dreams. Words are vibrations that create energy. Words create and destroy. The Lord tells us to watch what we speak to ourselves and over others. So what we speak will come to life and that life can either build up or destroy. We sing songs repeatedly. If we hear it but don’t know the words but like the acoustics, we continue to listen and allow those words to be spoken over us.

I was watching this video earlier, and my phone was closed accidentally. I went back, and the video was back. I was able to hear Kap. However, i got a call and lost this video. I knew it was Satan. After that, the "Music Demon" is still trying to play those songs in my head every day, and I have to rebuke him in Jesus name to the pits of Hell where he belongs, every day too. I grew up with secular music and I didn't get saved until I was 26. I continued listening to secular music until I went through an inner healing and deliverance ministry 7 years later. Music was one of my biggest struggles. I relapsed with music two times since then and both times it opened a spiritual door for the enemy to cause a lot of problems in my life and marriage. I never realized how demonic the music industry is until I found Good Fight Ministries. Now I listen to almost no secular music. I threw most of it away and my life has calmed down a lot. Music is one of my callings and I am married to a Worship Leader.

Yup, you have to keep your gateways clean and submitted to Christ. Gateways: Ears, Eyes, mouth, nose, and touch. Clean the gateway by applying the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. He did say stay holy because I am holy. In this day and age it is hard because what we see and hear all over in tv or online.

I’ve been a Christian songwriter and worship leader for over 40 years. I never saw that Barry Manilow song as a lyric from hell. I always saw it as a song depicting music as a living thing. Which it’s not.
So I see the value of listening closely to songs we hear on air, before deeming them noteworthy in our hearts. I gave up following secular music in general 40+ years ago, and when I do write a story song, I’m very careful to keep it positive and God-worthy. I pray to succeed at that each time. I used to be HEAVILY addicted to music all my life. I couldn't do anything without music going. The only time I didn't have it going was when I literally couldnt or when I was watching tv. But 4 years ago is when it all changed because I started seeing things that disturbed me so greatly, I stopped immediately so that tells you something right there. If you want to know what it was that I saw, I LITERALLY saw demons rather than humans who were either on stage or in music videos and they were shapeshifting. I kid you not. It freaked me out so bad, I quit listening to all music because of what I saw. I've never seen anything like it in my life before that. ALL praise and glory goes to the Most High God for giving me the eyes to see and overwhelming discernment. I would love to go into much further details but my comment will vanish before a single person ever got the chance to see it. Ask me how I know! Lol.
Another song is "sound of silence " the lyrics is demonic. It brings you into a dark place which is the spirit of depression. Depending which artist or group sings it, the words are overlooked and a person could will be bobing to the beat of the music. The Holy Spirit open my eyes to see it with that song...while I was battling depression. Anytime, I used to listen to the song...the darkness of that song used to reside over my thinking and left me in a darker place. I had to read the word of God, repent, renew my mind and delete the song out of my playlist. As believers we need to be sensitive to the lyrics of songs...even though the beat may sound great. Philippians 4 vs 8 and Psalms 51 vs 10 -12 are verses that can help on your journey of battling depression
