Welcome to our UA-cam channel!
We are loving family that live in Bamboo Huts in Rural Thailand. Damo (me), Ryan (my husband), and Otis (Our Son) spend our days taking care of the land and the animals and enjoying each others company.
Formally Ryan worked for "The Coffee Club Thailand" Chain, but now we have opted for a simpler lifestyle, and living in "The Now". On the vlog we will show you what it is like to live in Rural Thailand, details on plants we grow on our land, and most importantly our honest and authentic selves, the good, the bad and the ugly.

Great to see how you develop your land. As I'm a little older, I was thinking about using rised beds for low growing vegetables, carrots, salads. With respect to trees, you have to go to your local government office with the land certificate. They often give free trees (about 30 to 50 cm tall, different hard wood species). Take all the land certificates of the family with you and you may get a hundred trees or more. They did this in Phitsanulok recently.

I recently moved to Nong Khai from Bkk. I have a really small land and little money. I was in lots of stress trying to build a house that doesn’t cost much. I didn’t find anything. So I was searching through UA-cam on how to build a house cheaper. Then I saw your bamboo hut vdo. I was so excited and searching for someone to build it for me, hahaha. Pretty soon I will have my own bamboo hut. Thanks to you. You help makes my life easier. And Thanks for all your positive happy vdo. We don’t need to be rich to be happy. And you have showed us all. Keep up the good work 👍😍

In order for the betelnut palm to root back faster, you need to prune off some of its leaves only leaving one or two of it. Also lay a circle of rock salt around the palm. It helps the tree gain the minerals needed. Just something i learnt from my late dad who managed a betelnut palm plantation. Actually this works to almost any tree that has lost its roots when being relocated.

I am an Ozzy that has lived my life here in Australia and my life has been blessed with many awesome years of adventure and love. In my life I have had travelled Australia twice been over seas numerous times and once was to Thailand 7 years ago, which on my first night in Thailand I met a beautiful Thai woman Oly. We have been together now for the 7 years and married in Thailand 4 years ago. My wife and her boy moved to Australia to be with me ( what a huge thing to do ). Now we are in the process of letting the fear go and moving to Thailand and do exactly what you guys have done. Our house will be sold in the next few weeks, cars, all possessions will go. All of our western attachments that have (don't want to be negative ) I believe have kept me poor in many ways but not financially, spiritually I believe and being a robot is not what we are chasing in life. In the next few months we will be landing in Isan to begin a similar version of what you have created for yourselves. This is so exciting for us as we have a very modest home in Thailand already, a cow some land the basics to live a very minimalist life and get back to the way humans I believe should exist in this world. I am blessed to have such an opportunity to do this and let go of the fear that traps so many people. would love to drop by in a few years to say G'day and meet. It is a funny thing about trees. My girlfriend cut down a forest of rubber trees they overtook her back yard. As of today she has planted 6 avocado trees and another 20 fruit trees. Built a mushroom house and tanks to raise snails and crabs. There is still room to add whatever she wants. God i love this girl. She too has a beautiful garden nothing like fresh vegetables daily.

My parents grew up growing their own food, chickens in the yard, building their own living quarters, washing clothes outside, wide open spaces, green everywhere, fresh everything. They were considered poor. Little did they know how lucky they were. They couldn't wait to move away from the south to the north and find work. Generations have been struggling and working our lives away(as you say). I know you are working hard too but as you say, you're free. Good thing you and your wife are handy. I wouldn't know where to begin on my own land. Love this video. Learning a lot.

Hi Ryan just thought of a couple of things, I read that for planting trees it's best to have a square hole so the roots don't circulate and strangle. Looking forward to the solar project will be very interested in how that works. I have a pomegranate tree about 4 years old but the fruit is always sour and not very juicy. What your doing is fantastic and I wish you luck with everything I'm sure your positive energy will influence the growing of everything you plant.

I am thoroughly enjoying all of your videos.
I am surprised that you don't have any Moringa Olivera trees, as they are very good for your soil as they supply a lot of nitrogen, also they are very good for you in many ways with regards to medicinal properties, vitamins etc and are very heat resistant.
I myself live in Sakhon Nakhon but am at present stuck in the UK in order to top up my bank account again (thank you BREXIT).

Cinnamon powder is a very good rooting powder, i have tried it and have managed to make 17 walnuts sprout roots (outdoors in England!!!).

Great vlog. Planting trees is a great thing to do. I was shocked to see about 10 miles of large mature trees cut down, thousands in total, along a road side towards Yasothon as they were widening the road.
Wow.. Just amazing to see how your garden is comming out and you already starting to harvest some food from it, realy nice 🙏

Hi, I have a Thai partner in BBK, I haven't seen her for 4 years, covid-19. Hopefully will be in Thailand soon for a one month visit. Have you ever considered buying a rotary hoe, or small tractor. Eventually if you want to expand your farm machinery would be essential. Tractors come in all shapes and sizes. A small tractor or rotary hoe might help you to get the best use of your land; as will water pumps and dams for irrigation. Regards Pete

Nice Vlog the plants are loving you. FEAR , I’ve never put a name on it before but you are so right . I worked in a fear based environment for 19 years of which I walked away from it twice , the second time was 7 months ago and every one tells me I haven’t looked this healthy in years , and the only thing that has changed is my work environment. SNAKES 🐍 😱, Australia is full of snakes and I go camping a lot to escape the city , as you said snakes are more scared of us , if they hear you coming they will run off . A weird fact snakes love passion fruit , so that’s one to watch out for . All the best to you and your families farm life . ✌️
